J.D.: [v.o.] And I could never mad at Kim for giving me a bad surprise.
[After the camera pans in on J.D.'s patient's ultrasound, it pans out an ultrasound in Washington:]
Doctor: Everything looks healthy. See? Here's your baby's heartbeat.
Kim: Wow.
J.D.: [v.o.] Because at least she was straight to me.

Kim: Sorry. Okay, too soon for laughter, I know that you must be really upset.
J.D.: Upset is just one of the emotions I'm feeling, Kim. How could you do this to me?
Kim: I don't know. My hormones went crazy. And I was scared and I thought that we were only together because I was pregnant. And so, I lied and I pushed you out the door and then I got really angry that you left me.
J.D.: Were you ever planning on telling me?
Kim: Yes, of course. Yes. I just hadn't figured out how yet. I mean, what can I possibly say?
J.D.: I don't know. How about: "J.D., I think there might be something living in my uterus".
Kim: I know I made a huge mistake. And I'm so, so sorry. I'd just backed myself into this corner and I didn't know how to get out and... You know what? No more excuses. I did a horrible thing. I don't expect you to forgive me.
J.D.: Well, good, because I'm not going to.
Kim: You probably hate me right now because I hate myself. But it was really good seeing you and and I thought I can do this on my own, but I can't. I'm alone and I'm terrified, and I have no right to ask you for this, but I could really use some help. Crap salad, I gotta go give another lecture. I just need forty minutes and... Please stay. Promise me that you'll just stay, and we can talk about this.
J.D.: Fine. But I'm not doing it for you.
Kim: Fair enough.

Kim: I hate ultrasounds. That gel feels like a whale hocked a loogie on my belly. Plus, I'm always afraid in the first few seconds they're not gonna feel a little heartbeat.
J.D.: Relax, Kim. Dorians are known for their strong will to live.

Kim: I have to admit something.
J.D.: Uh-oh.
Kim: Last night, when I went into your room, I couldn't fall asleep. I just laid on the bed staring at the door, hoping you might come in.
J.D.: Kim.
Kim: I know, you don't trust me, and I don't even know if you like me. I don't really like myself right now. But do you think there's a one in a million chance that a year from now, or five years from now you could get to a place where you forgive me, and then maybe, you know, we could give it another shot?

J.D.: [v.o.] It's amazing how some couples are so close that they can finish each other's sentences.
Turk: So, there we were, hottest day of the year...
J.D.: At the beach and we're both wearing jeans. Isn't that crazy? Guess who we run into?
Turk: Also in jeans.
Carla: It was Dr. J, Kim, and unless you want to hear about this for the next hour, please change the subject.
Kim: Okay, my lease is up on my apartment in Washington, and my OB said that my mucus plug is holding firm, and that's all I've got.

J.D.: [on the phone] Sorry, Kim, I know I said I'd come straight home, but I got stuck covering a shift.
Kim: Oh, no problem. I'll wait up for you. And you know that half glass of wine my doctor says I'm allowed every night? I'm gonna hold off until you get here because it makes me super randy.

J.D.: [v.o.] It had been a while since my near kiss with Elliot and the dust was finally starting to settle.
J.D.: Daddy's home!
Kim: Come here, check out these big pregnant hippo feet.
J.D.: Wow! Those are truly disgusting.
Kim: Right? I missed you.

Kim: I've been work up the courage to tell you that I'm falling-
J.D.: No! Don't say it.
Kim: Why not?
J.D.: Look, I think you're amazing, but I'm just not ready to say it back yet.
Kim: That's okay. I really hurt you, so it makes sense that you'd need more time to get there.
J.D.: [v.o.] Bullet dodged.
Kim: Hey, what the hell J.D., I love you.
J.D.: Cool!

J.D.: Look, I think you're amazing, right? I have I have mentioned that. And... And even though I'm not you know, in love with you right now, I really hope that one day I wake up feeling what you said you feel, even though I kinda asked you not to say it.
Kim: Do you really hope that?
J.D.: With all my heart.
Kim: Because I always dreamed of finding a guy who hoped he can fall in love with me, someday.
J.D.: Really? That's kind of weird.
Kim: No! J.D.? Do you actually think that's enough for me? There are a lot of guys out there who think I'm a good catch. The words "Cute as a button" have been thrown around on more than one occasion.
J.D.: I know that, Kim, you're amazing.
Kim: Stop calling me amazing, okay?!

Kim: He's so beautiful. I'm really glad you came back in.
J.D.: Me too.
Kim: It's weird, you know. This is the end of our relationship, but it's sorta just the beginning.
J.D.: Can I hold him?
Kim: Of course. Here's your daddy.
J.D.: Hi. Hi, handsome. Welcome to the world, Sammy.
