Lainey: What the hell is this?
Other Erica: It's a demo she had made at the mall. We came here to confront her about it.
Lainey: I know that. I was just being dramatic.

Barry: Lainey, please don't cry. I love you more than anything!
Lainey: Thank you so much for pulling the plug! Oh, sweet Lord, thank you.
Erica: What?
Barry: Seriously?
Lainey: I mean, when you proposed under the stars, it was super romantic, and I was like, "Hell yeah, let's do this."
Barry: That's what I was like.
Lainey: But then everyone said, like, "You're too young. You can't do this." And I was like, "Suck it, family and friends. I'll do it just to show you I can!"
Barry: That was exactly my train of thought! But then everyone caved and got on board, a-and it all became too real, and I was hoping you'd pull the plug, but you didn't, so I was like, "Oh, well, this is my life, I guess."
Barry: I was like that, too!
Lainey: I mean, I was freaking out 'cause marrying you would for sure ruin my dream of becoming a Hollywood rock superstar.
Barry: And I thought you were gonna hold me back from all my hopes and dreams!
Lainey: Aww, babe! I love you so much for not wanting to marry me.
Barry: Yes!

Lainey: Idiot. I'm not here for you. I mean... [scoffs] I am, but not in your icky way.
Barry: Well, if it's not for my rockin' body, what do you want?
Lainey: I wanted to say... [sighs] I'm sorry.
Barry: You're forgiven.
Lainey: You don't even know what I'm sorry for yet.
Barry: Whatever it is, I think you're great.

Erica: So you were just pretending to be successful so that I wouldn't worry about you and we could focus on my issues?
Lainey: You're my best friend.
Erica: You're my best friend!
Hobo Jim: And you're both my best friend!
Lainey: Get outta here, Jim! We're having a moment. It's not all terrible. I did book a small gig tomorrow. Hey, maybe you'd want to do it with me?
Erica: You mean get the band back together? Hell yeah.
Hobo Jim: You know, I used to be a Little Rascal!

Adult Adam: [v.o.] As I found a way to bring poker night back, Erica and Lainey were back to rocking out, except the gig was for a -year-old's birthday.

Lainey: Thank you, Encino!
Erica: This is fun. Rich L.A. people blow their money on the dumbest stuff. I mean, look, there's a sushi chef.

Lainey: Oh, my God. Ashley's dad is Tom Marquez? He books the Roxy!
Erica: You need to give him your demo!
Lainey: I totally would if I had a demo. What do I do?
Erica: I don't know. But he's coming over right now, so act cool.
Tom: Hey, you're a star.
Lainey: Thank you. I mean, I think I put a little too much vibrato on "Wheels On The Bus," but I guess you see my raw talent.
Tom: Nah, the costumes. You're a star. She's a moon. Good stuff.
Lainey: Oh, right. And I really hope to play your club one day.
Tom: Fine. How's tonight?
Lainey: Tonight? Holy crap. Yes! How is this happening?
Tom: Eh, it's a holiday Monday.
Lainey: We'll take it!

Adult Adam: [v.o.] While my mom brought down the poker game, Erica and Lainey were hoping to bring the house down.
Lainey: We're actually here, at the Roxy, on Sunset. Can you believe this is happening?!
Erica: I know, right? Although I kinda thought Geoff would make it. I mean, he's never missed one of my shows.
Lainey: Oh, yeah, your ex-boyfriend. That's definitely where my mind's at, too.

Erica: I'm so, so sorry.
Lainey: It's okay.
Erica: No, it's not. This was your first big gig here and I ruined it.
Lainey: I don't care about the gig, Erica. I care about you.
Erica: This is a really bad start to my life in L.A.
Lainey: Here's the thing... I don't think you should have a life in L.A.
Erica: This was just a setback. Today was huge for us.
Lainey: It was. But I think you have something even bigger to get back to.
Erica: What are you saying?
Lainey: Babe, we were just onstage at the Roxy, but you were somewhere else.
Erica: I just really wanted him to come.
Lainey: That's why I think you have to go back home and figure it out.
Erica: But what about you? I'm your good-luck charm. Or I was until like 10 minutes ago.
Lainey: You still are! I was sputtering before you got here. Being on that stage with you reminded me of why I moved here in the first place.
Erica: Lainey Lewis, you are a true rock star.
Lainey: What would I be without my number-one fan?
Adult Adam: [v.o.] Sometimes in life, you're not dealt the cards you want, but if you're surrounded by family, you'll always come out a winner.
