Will: Hi, Mom.
Vy: So what's my little man working so hard at?
Will: Ugh, this math, but hey this can wait. You're only gonna be out here a few days.
Vy: No, don't worry about it. I'll entertain myself. Go ahead. [pulls a chair up next to Will] Wait a minute, baby. [sharpens Will's pencil] [pulls a piece of fluff out of Will's hair] [Will sniffles] Blow.
Will: Mom, what are you doing?
Vy: I said blow. [Will blows his nose] Good boy. [puts a blanket over Will's shoulders]
Will: Come on, Mom.
Vy: Sorry. [blows away Will's eraser marks]
Will: You know what, Mom? I can do this later. Why don't we go somewhere, have some fun?
Vy: Fun? William, you gotta learn how to concentrate. Now your schoolwork comes before anything else. Will. [takes a photo of Will] Now keep studying.

Vivian: Vy, this is her decision.
Aunt Helen: Let Janice do what she wants to do.
Vivian: Well, she can do it without us.
Vy: Come on, Will.
Will: Hey, wait, Mom. Hold up. Wait, I'm the best man.
Vy: Not anymore, you're not. I said come on. [exits]
Will: [shrugs] She breast-fed me.

Hilary: Aunt Janice, you don't look like you feel too well. Maybe you should go shopping.
Aunt Helen: What's the matter, honey? You're not pregnant, are you?
Janice: It's a possibility.
Vivian: Oh, Janice, that's wonderful!
Aunt Helen: Oh, baby that's great.
Vy: I couldn't be happier.
Vivian: You couldn't?
Vy: Well, listen now, when the love between two people is strong enough... Well, that love will conquer all.
Aunt Helen: Ooh, this Robert must have a magic wand.

Will: Hey, this is just so great, my whole family under one roof. You know, I just wish that we could all be together all the time.
Vy: Baby, at least you and I are going to be together in a few months.
Will: Get the- You moving to L.A?
Vy: No, silly, I'm talking about when you graduate high school and move back home. It'll be just like old times, baby, just you and me. We can do everything together. Oh, I can hardly wait. I've looked forward to this for so long. And I've got so many things planned.

Vy: Hi, baby. I came to tuck you in. Here you go.
Will: Thanks a lot, Mom. Can we talk about me moving back home?
Vy: Oh, you're excited, too, huh?
Will: Well, look, now that you mention it, Mom-
Vy: Baby, I got your room fixed up so nice. And keep your fingers crossed because I got a friend at U of P who thinks she might be able to pull some strings with your application. Heck, with me working around the corner, we could have lunch together every day.
Will: Ooh, every day.
Vy: I'll tell you, baby, these past few days with you have been so great, I haven't thought about Robert once.
Will: Really? 'Cause, yo, I've been thinking about him all the time.
Vy: Well, you just get some rest, and we'll talk some more tomorrow.

Vy: Can we just for once have a conversation without my name being mentioned?
Janice: Sure, Vy. Why is a certain person ruining Will's life by moving him back to Philly?
Vy: Why doesn't a certain person stick a drumstick in her mouth and call it a day?
Aunt Helen: Oh, wait a minute, now, Vy. We all family here and we all care about Will.
Vy: Listen, do I tell you how to raise your son?
Aunt Helen: No, but I wish you would.
Vivian: Vy, I really think Will had his heart set on going to school in California.
Vy: Oh, so this is how it is? Once again my family has taken it upon themselves to decide that Vy don't know how to take care of her own. [all protest] No, you're wrong. You're wrong. And I'll thank all of you to keep your noses out of my personal affairs.

Vy: Yes, I got a great deal on a cruise and I am sending you to the Caribbean for your graduation.
Will: For real?
Vy: Yes.
Will: I always wanted to go to the Caribbean. [sings] Day-o Day-o
Vy: It'll be so great, baby. We could go snorkeling and play shuffleboard.
Will: We? You going, too?
Vy: Well, sure, and it's not locked in yet but I think the entertainment is going to be the new Fifth Dimension.
Carlton: Oh, I love them, take me. Take me.
Will: Shut up, Carlton.

Vy: Oh, there he is, my graduate!
Will: Hey, Ma.
Vy: Oh, you're my pride and joy, sweetie. This means everything to me. I never thought I'd live to see this day, but here I am and there you are. Now, smile and say, "diploma."
Will: Look, Mom, this is just a little graduation. I think you're making a little too much of it.
Vy: Boy, are you crazy? I've been waiting 18 years for this moment.
Will: Oh, come on, Mom, you must have done something else in all that time.
Vy: Nothing more important than this.
Geoffrey: Apparently, you've never danced the Achy Breaky.
Vy: Will, completing high school was a great achievement. You've made me so happy I could cry.
Will: Yeah, me too.

Vy: I know, I'm getting a little carried away, but I'm just so proud of you. Your graduation is very important to me.
Will: But, Mom, it wouldn't be if you got out more.
Vy: I know what's going on here.
Will: You do?
Vy: Mmm-hmm. You're trying to downplay graduation because you don't want me to feel bad that I never got a chance to graduate.

Will: Now, Mom, listen. For the first time in my life I found something that I'm good at and that I enjoy. It feels good, Mom.
Vy: Oh, yeah? [grabs Will's ear] Does this feel good?
Will: Mom. Mom.
Vy: Which way is that college?
Will: Mom. Mom!
Vy: Let's go.
Will: This doesn't feel good, Mom. My commission!
