Barry: I do have some big news. It's going to cost you a little money... Twenty thousand, something like that. The courts have agreed to let your father out of prison.
Lucille: This is a lawyer!
Buster: He's a master!
Barry: For the entire afternoon.
Michael: What do you mean "afternoon"? What afternoon?
Barry: The day before Christmas, in time for the Living Classics Pageant because I know how important that is to all of you.

Barry: Okay. I'm gonna get out of your hair. We'll talk about this money later in the week.
Michael: Excuse me. We're not going to pay $20,000 to get my Dad out for one day.
Barry: No. It's a bond. It's all refundable, unlike my time.
Michael: It's been a complete waste of two hours, okay? We're just not going to do it, and that's that. Are you writing two hours?
Barry: No, I'm taking notes on the case.
Michael: Let me just see what you just wrote.
Barry: You're scaring me. Just leave it alone! It is a gift from a client!

James Alan Spangler: [answers phone] Law offices of Barry Zuckerkorn.
Michael: It's Michael Bluth for Barry.
Barry: [shouts] I'm not here.
James Alan Spangler: Barry's not here. Can I give her a message?
Michael: Tell her she needs to whisper a little softer next time and I'm not paying for this phone call. [hangs up]
Barry: I am not a girl, you bow-tied...
James Alan Spangler: Go on. Call me something. I'm redoing my kitchen.

Barry: Can we get back to work, folks? We've only got 24 hours to respond and no matter what this is, it is better than going to trial.
Lucille: Your father's not here. I'll speak for him. He loves it. He's crazy about the plea. He's dying to get out of that prison and be with a woman again.

George Sr.: I want to fight this thing. I can beat it. I know it for a fact.
Lucille: We're taking the plea.
George Sr.: Lucille, we're not taking a plea.
Michael: We don't even know what the plea is yet.
Barry: Is that a shot at me? 'Cause that makes me want to read it less.

Michael: You've got to call this off. You gotta get more time. Get more time. She can smell me. She smells everything. [runs out, chased by Justice]
Barry: Objection!
Judge Ping: What?
Barry: We haven't read it. It's very long, Your Honor.
George Sr.: Sit down!
Barry: We haven't read it. We're gonna get to it. I'm gonna start right now.

Gob: No, Michael! You can save this family. Please! Do the right thing here. String this blind girl along so that Dad doesn't have to pay his debt to society.
Barry: The solution to all our problems is staring you right in the face and it can't even see you.
Michael: I gotta go talk to her.
Gob: Yeah, I better get back to the wife.
Barry: I think I'm going to take a scenic drive down to the City of Industry.

Lucille: So what do you think, Barry?
Barry: l-I haven't read it. I had a really interesting date last night. A woman who actually works two jobs.

Narrator: Soon, Michael arrived to claim his father and was met by the family attorney, Barry Zuckerkorn.
Barry: [points to zit on forehead] Hmm. No, I know, I know, I know. Everybody says leave it alone, leave it alone. [touches zit] Does this look contagious to you? [touches George Michael's shirt] Hey, kiddo.

Michael: I only came back to tell him I was leaving, so I guess it's time to go, Son.
Barry: Where you going?
George Michael: We can't tell you.
Michael: No, no. We can tell Barry. We're going to Phoenix.
Barry: Oh, I wish you hadn't have said that. As your lawyer, I have to inform you you cannot leave the state. With your father gone, they want to hold you.
Michael: M-Me?
Barry: They're going to indict you tomorrow. All you have to do is come up with the bail. Take it out of the business.
Michael: But I- I can't. I quit. I don't want to follow in my father's footsteps.
Barry: Then you might wind up on his cot. Oh, man, I wish you hadn't said Phoenix.
