‘Mr. Monk and the Three Julies’

Season 6, Episode 13 -  Aired January 25, 2008

Natalie is terrified after two women named Julie Teeger are murdered on the same day.

Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Adrian Monk: How many Julie Teegers do you think there could be?
Captain Stottlemeyer: I have no idea. We're checking the phone directories.
Adrian Monk: What about children? They wouldn't all be listed.
Captain Stottlemeyer: That's true. Check the schools, public and private, and birth records.
Detective: The whole country?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Start in California. Work your way up the coast.
Adrian Monk: What about women who are married who changed their names?
Captain Stottlemeyer: He's right. Call social security.
Detective: You got it. When you do want it?
Captain Stottlemeyer: How about now?
Detective: How about tonight?
Captain Stottlemeyer: How about you get busy?

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: Any ideas?
Adrian Monk: I don't know. I don't know. All right, okay, maybe a hit man was paid to kill Julie Teeger, but he doesn't know what she looks like.
Captain Stottlemeyer: And he's killing all of them? Monk, that doesn't track. The M.O.'s are so different. The housewife was stabbed and the graduate student was run down.
Adrian Monk: I know. It doesn't make any sense. Okay, forget it.

Quote from Lieutenant Disher

Lieutenant Disher: Hey, Monk, I've got two ideas.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Two ideas?
Lieutenant Disher: Yeah, which one do you want first?
Captain Stottlemeyer: The one that'll make me less pissed off.
Lieutenant Disher: Theory A: I remembered this old case, Matthew Teeger, 35 year sold. Guy's been committed twice for acute schizophrenia and delusions.
Adrian Monk: Any arrests?
Lieutenant Disher: Yeah. Assault three years ago. He attacked his stepfather. He said he was defending his mother. Apparently he's obsessed with her. Guess what her name is?
Adrian Monk: Juliet Teeger.
Lieutenant Disher: A history of violence and a mother obsession.
Adrian Monk: I like it.
Captain Stottlemeyer: I like it too. We'll talk to this guy.

Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Captain Stottlemeyer: What a dump.
Adrian Monk: But you can tell it used to be beautiful. How could something like this happen?
Captain Stottlemeyer: I don't know. Maybe Natalie drove it sometime.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: Hello? Mrs. Teeger? You all right? We're with the police department, ma'am. We've been trying to reach you. We have reason to believe you may be in some danger! Hello?
Lieutenant Disher: Mrs. Teeger?
Adrian Monk: Taxidermy.
Captain Stottlemeyer: It's nice to have a hobby.
Lieutenant Disher: Can't imagine growing up in a house like this.
Adrian Monk: I can.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: Mrs. Teeger? Juliet? [voice breaking] Don't be afraid. I'm with the- I'm with the police. We think young Matthew might be involved something. Do you know where he is, ma'am? We just want to talk to him.
Ma'am. Have you- Excuse me? Are you- Are you okay? Are you-? Are you dad? Please be alive. Please be alive. Please be alive. Please... Please don't be one of those skeleton ladies. Please be alive. Please be alive. [knocks the body over, an eye falls out] Please be dead. Please be dead.

Quote from Dr. Kroger

Dr. Kroger: So, the son. Where is the son?
Adrian Monk: That's the problem. He just disappeared.
Dr. Kroger: So you think he's tracking down women who have the same name as his mother, Julie Teeger?
Adrian Monk: Is that possible?
Dr. Kroger: Yes, Adrian, anything is possible, unfortunately. You know, Natalie must be scared to death.
Adrian Monk: I brought his file with me. Hoping you could take a look at it.
Dr. Kroger: Adrian, remember, this isn't a patient of mine. I have never met this man. So I could only make an educated guess.
Adrian Monk: We'll take it.

Quote from Julie Teeger

Julie Teeger: [on the phone] I know. They have been parked out front all night. And Lieutenant Disher is in our living room. I feel like I'm in a spy movie.
Natalie: Julie, what are you doing?
Julie Teeger: Talking to Katie.
Natalie: I told you to stay away from the window. This is not a game.
Julie Teeger: Katie, I better go. My mom is having an anxiety attack. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Quote from Natalie

Natalie: And no headphones.
Julie Teeger: Why not?
Natalie: I want you to be able to hear me if something happens.
Julie Teeger: Mom, I really think you're overreacting.
Natalie: Well, that's my job. So let me just do my job.

Quote from Julie Teeger

Julie Teeger: What's this?
Natalie: Oh, it's your homework. I had the officers pick it up from school.
Julie Teeger: What? I can't go to school? So now I'm a prisoner in my own house. Why? I didn't do anything wrong. It's not fair.
Natalie: I know, honey. It's not.
Julie Teeger: Well, for how long?
Natalie: I don't know. Just until they catch this guy. Mr. Monk and the whole department are out there looking for him.
Julie Teeger: Well, what about my driver's test?
Natalie: Well, we might have to reschedule that, okay?
Julie Teeger: No, no, no, no. I have been waiting my whole life to get my license.
Natalie: Honey, I don't think you appreciate how serious this situation is.
Julie Teeger: I don't think you appreciate this. I am taking that test tomorrow with or without your permission.
