Quote from Carla

Carla: You now have my permission to withdraw your proposal.
Dr. Ludlow: Carla, do you want me to withdraw my proposal?
Carla: I want you to do what you want to do.
Dr. Ludlow: I want you to marry me.
Carla: You're kidding. [Dr. Ludlow shakes his head] Wow, what class!
Dr. Ludlow: I still haven't heard the word "yes".
Carla: I know. Why do you think that is?
Dr. Ludlow: Well, I think that if you look into your feelings, you'll know.

Quote from Norm

Sam: You're look a little glum there, buddy. Do you got a problem?
Norm: Yeah. My new boss just chewed me out. He says I lack enthusiasm.
Cliff: Well, is that true?
Norm: [shrugs] I don't know. I guess. Who cares?

Quote from Carla

Frasier: Well, here it is, Dr. Ludlow. Remember, it was Diane's idea to expose you to Boston's seamy underbelly.
Diane: Oh, Frasier, come on. Dr. Ludlow will enjoy a quaint little Boston pub.
Sam: [to Carla] I wonder who the guy is with Frasier and Diane.
Carla: A talent scout for a geek show.

Quote from Frasier

Frasier: I'm sorry. I just turn to jelly in the presence of my mentor, Dr. Bennett Ludlow.
Dr. Ludlow: Frasier, this attitude was all right when you were in my graduate program, but we are peers now.
Frasier: Did you hear that, Diane? Peers. Ludlow, get us some brandies! No, I'm just kidding. I'll get them.

Quote from Frasier

Frasier: Did you notice?
Diane: Of course I noticed. The only question is what are we going to do about it?
Frasier: Well, the only thing we can do, ignore it.
Diane: Ignore it? That's like telling me to ignore your fly being open.
Frasier: Yes, very good point. It isn't, is it?

Quote from Coach

Sam: Why not just tell the guy he's got a spot?
Frasier: Gee, that's an idea. Why didn't we just come to Sam in the first place? Sam, you just don't say "there's a spot" on your tie to a man of the stature of Dr. Bennett Ludlow.
Coach: The Bennett Ludlow?
Diane: You've heard of him, Coach?
Coach: No.

Quote from Carla

Frasier: I'll just have to find a way to tell him in a subtle and tactful way that will allow him to preserve his dignity.
Carla: [to Dr. Ludlow] Hey, pigpen! What's that thing? What, are you trying to catch pigeons? Ew.
Dr. Ludlow: Thank you very much.
Carla: Ah, don't mention it. I like a man who wears his dinner with pride.

Quote from Carla

Dr. Ludlow: Believe me, I am not the sort of man who approaches young, unfamiliar ladies and tries to be become more familiar by using some smooth line.
Carla: Your secret is safe with me.
Diane: Pardon me- Pardon me for saying this, but there is something about you that is so strikingly attractive.
Carla: While you're staring at my zoomers, let's see if we can figure out what it is.
Dr. Ludlow: What would it take to get your telephone number?
Carla: A phone book.
Dr. Ludlow: Would you tell me your name or should I just check in the Yellow Pages under "Hot Babe"?
Carla: The name is Carla Tortelli and I'm starting to like you.

Quote from Carla

Sam: Hey, Carla. I got some flowers here for you.
Carla: Ooh, for me?
Sam: Yeah, very cute, Carla. You've gotten flowers every day for the last two weeks.
Carla: Yeah, I guess I ought to be feeling a little guilty. I mean, I'm getting all these flowers and there are bees going to bed hungry.

Quote from Coach

Sam: Yeah, we're kind of curious here. Who's your secret admirer?
Carla: [whispers in Sam's ear] It's none of your damn business.
Sam: Thank you, Carla.
Coach: Sam, what did she say?
Sam: None of your damn business.
Coach: Well, excuse me for living. What if I said that to you when you asked me to show you how to throw a knuckleball?
Sam: You did.
Coach: Oh, so we're even.
