Monica throws a birthday party for Rachel, but things don't go to plan when Rachel's father makes an unannounced visit to the apartment. To keep him away from Mrs. Green, who Monica invited, a second party is thrown across the hall.

Ross: You know, this is ridiculous. This is your birthday, your party. Let's put them together. If they can't deal with it, who cares?
Rachel: I do.
Ross: That's who.

Monica: Okay, the first person's most embarrassing memory is "Monica, your party sucks."

Monica: You. And you. You're supposed to be at my party. And Gunther! What are you doing here?

Rachel: This is it, isn't it? This is what my life will be like. My mom there, my dad there. Thanksgiving, Christmas. She gets the house, he's in a condo my sister will decorate with wicker.

Mrs. Green: All right, Monica, dear, I'm going to hit the road. Now, I've left my 10 verbs on the table. You be sure and send me that finished poem.
Monica: Okay, will do.

Phoebe: No, you're not supposed to be here. This is the staging area. It's all wrong. You should leave. You know, just get out. [seeing Mrs. Green in the hallway] Or perhaps you'd like a creme de menthe.
