‘The One Where the Monkey Gets Away’
Season 1, Episode 19 - Aired March 9, 1995
Ross is excited about the prospect of spending the evening with Rachel, who spent the afternoon looking after Marcel, until he finds out she lost the monkey. As Ross worries that Marcel will be seized as an illegal exotic animal, things go from bad to worse when the Animal Control woman remembers Rachel from high school.

Ross: I'm telling you, she said she wants a relationship with someone exactly like me.
Joey: She said that?
Ross: Well, I added the "exactly like me" part. But she said she's looking for someone. And someone is going to be there tonight.
Quote from Rachel
Rachel: What? Marcel! Are you playing with Monica's shoes? You know you're not supposed to- Whoa, whoa. Marcel, did you poo in the shoe? Oh, Marcel. Bad monkey. Bad monkey.

Ross: Oh, gosh. We've been all over the neighborhood. He's just gone.
Rachel: Ross, you don't know that.
Ross: Oh, come on. It's cold, it's dark. He doesn't know the Village.

Rachel: It's not like I did this on purpose.
Ross: No, no, this is just vintage Rachel. Things just sort of happen around you. You're off in "Rachel Land," doing your "Rachel Thing", totally oblivious to people's monkeys or to people's feelings-

Phoebe: No.
Monica: That's because I'm in front of them.

Ross: You know how we were talking before about relationships, and stuff.
Rachel: Oh, God, Ross, I cannot do this.
