‘The One with the Football’
Season 3, Episode 9 - Aired November 21, 1996
Things get heated on Thanksgiving when the group decide to play a game of football, bringing out Ross and Monica's competitive sides.
Quote from Joey
Chandler: Hi, I'm Chandler.
Margha: Hello, Chandler.
Joey: Her name is Dutch and also "Margham."
Quote from Chandler
Joey: That's it. I was still gonna let you have her. But now, prepare to feel bad about yourself.
Chandler: Yeah, well. I've been preparing for that my entire life. Or something about you that's mean.
Quote from Phoebe
Monica: We're playing for women everywhere. Think about every lousy date you ever had. Every guy who kept one eye on the TV while you were making out.
Phoebe: Oh, my God. You dated someone with a glass eye too?
Quote from Chandler
Ross: All right, we're gonna play.
Chandler: But wait. How are we gonna get there? Because my mom won't let me cross the street.
Quote from Rachel
Rachel: We should definitely play football more often. Maybe there's, like, a league we could join.
Phoebe: Isn't there a "national football league"?
Chandler: Yes. Yes, there is. They play on Sundays and Monday nights.
Rachel: Oh, shoot. I work Monday nights.
Quote from Chandler
Joey: Hey, don't feel bad. We all have our strengths. You're better with numbers and stuff.
Chandler: Math? You're giving me math?
Quote from Chandler
Monica: People, listen. I've got exactly 28 minutes before I have to baste again.
Chandler: Wow, just like in the pros.
Quote from Joey
Joey: [to Ross and Monica] There must be a special place in heaven for people who hung out with you two in high school.
Quote from Rachel
Ross: Sweetie, now I pick you.
Rachel: You don't pick me. You're stuck with me.
