Quote from Adrian Monk

Sharona: What's going on?
Adrian Monk: Can't you hear that? Can't you hear that?
Sharona: No.
Adrian Monk: It's, it's relentless.
Sharona: What?
Adrian Monk: The sirens.
Sharona: There's no off switch here, okay? I mean, look, I wish there was, but there isn't, okay?
Adrian Monk: The buses...

Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Captain Walter Cage: I just talked to the D.A, And the meeting's been canceled.
Sharona: What? Since when?
Captain Walter Cage: Well, since 20 minutes ago.
Sharona: Why?
Captain Walter Cage: Well, she didn't say. She never tells me anything. Isn't that how it works in Frisco?
Captain Stottlemeyer: First off, the name of our little town is San Francisco, not Frisco. Second of all, we just flew 3,000 miles to talk to this guy. It's the first break we've had in seven years.
Captain Walter Cage: I understand. I've got people downtown. I'll make some phone calls. We're all on the same team, captain.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Are we?

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: Monk, I got bad news and some really bad news. What do you want to hear first?
Adrian Monk: Uh, let's see, I think, uh, the really bad, I guess, first. Or no, start, just start with the bad... Or, or the really bad. I, I, I...

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: This morning, Warrick Tennyson agreed to testify in this big federal racketeering case.
He is in protective custody, incommunicado. They're not going to let us or anybody anywhere near him.
Adrian Monk: Didn't you tell them about Trudy?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Look, I was up there for an hour and a half screaming my head off. They said yes on one condition. [drilling]
Adrian Monk: What, what, what, what's the condition?
Captain Stottlemeyer: It's about this new case. The, uh, assassination thing. The D.A said if we help with this ambassador case, they'll let us talk to Tennyson. What do you think?
Adrian Monk: Well, well, I guess, I guess I don't have- [drilling] I guess I don't real- [drilling] I guess I don't real- [drilling] I guess I don't. [drilling] I guess I don't real- [drilling] I mean, I guess I don't- [drilling] I guess I don't really- [silence] I guess I don't really... [drilling] I guess I don't- [drilling] I guess I don't really have- [drilling] I guess I don't really- [drilling] I guess I don't really- [drilling] [shouts over drilling] I guess I don't really have a choice!

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: It's big news. Not just here, all over the world.
Adrian Monk: When Trudy died, she wasn't on the front page. She was on page 4. The next day, there was a little story on page 10. And the next day she was gone.
Sharona: Adrian, she's not gone. We're going to find the people who killed her, I promise. And don't forget. If we help them with this, they're going to help us.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: Mr. Kazinsky, I overheard the ambassador say something just, just before he was killed. "She is now gone meatless."
Vladimir Kazinsky: "She is now gone meatless?"
Adrian Monk: Does that mean anything to you?
Vladimir Kazinsky: Maybe he knew a woman who's a vegetarian.
Adrian Monk: I, I mean does it have any meaning in Latvian?
Vladimir Kazinsky: No. No, I'm sorry.
Lieutenant Disher: Thank you, Mr. Kazinsky.
Adrian Monk: She's now gone meatless?
Vladimir Kazinsky: No.
Lieutenant Disher: That'll be all. I'll show you out.
Adrian Monk: She's... She's now gone, meatless?
Vladimir Kazinsky: No.
Lieutenant Disher: We appreciate your time. If we have any more questions, we'll get back to you.
Vladimir Kazinsky: Okay, thank you. Thank you, sir.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Thank you.
Adrian Monk: [Eastern European accent] She's now gone meatless.

Quote from Sharona

Sharona: She's now gone meatless"?
Adrian Monk: That's what he said. Maybe it's some kind of slang, like hip-hop.
Sharona: Hip-hop?
Adrian Monk: Hip-hop. It's a sort of street talk. Why don't you ask around?
Sharona: Well, I'm not going to ask people what "she's now gone meatless" means.
Adrian Monk: Why not?
Sharona: I don't know. I might move back here someday. I, I don't know.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: That was our supposed friend detective Cage. He's got a lead. He wants us to go to Brooklyn, talk to a man named Elmer Gratnik.
Lieutenant Disher: Gratnik's been sending the ambassador some threatening letters.
Adrian Monk: Brooklyn, that, that's, like, an old bridge, right?
Sharona: Or a tunnel.
Adrian Monk: Or a tunnel. Okay, a bridge.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Sharona: So you think he's the guy you saw?
Adrian Monk: Maybe. I can't tell. I need to see his left ear. Look, how about this? You walk by. Maybe, maybe he'll tip his hat.
Sharona: Oh, he's not going to tip his hat.
Adrian Monk: He might if you sashay. Where are you going?
Sharona: I'm going to talk to him.
Adrian Monk: Look, sashay. Sharona, sashay.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: What is that? Is that, is that mink?
Elmer Gratnik: Sable.
Adrian Monk: Sable. Wow. Could I, could I hold it?
Elmer Gratnik: Why?
Adrian Monk: I love hats. I collect them. I'm a, chapeau-ologist.
Elmer Gratnik: No. [Monk lifts his ear flap] Go away!
