Adrian Monk: Natalie.
Natalie: You're awake.
Adrian Monk: Natalie.
Natalie: Yes, Mr. Monk. I'm right here.
Adrian Monk: Chips.
Natalie: I know, Mr. Monk.
Adrian Monk: Chips.
Natalie: Yes, Mr. Monk, you have all the chips.
Adrian Monk: Chips.
Natalie: Yes. Mr Monk, I understand every chip there is. Look, on the bright side, these two legs match.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Natalie: [aiming gun at Sarah Longson] Put it down. Put it down. Don't move, I swear to God. I swear to God I'll shoot. [Sarah drops the rock]
Adrian Monk: Hang on!
Natalie: It's okay, Mr. Monk. It's all over. I did it! [shoots Monk in the other leg]
Adrian Monk: For the love of God. Wipe.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Dean Berry: Here, drink this. I want you to take three of these, twice a day. It's my personal formula. You're going to be fine.
Natalie: Thank you. Mr. Monk, we should go. They've had a bad day. Their super seed didn't sprout.
Dean Berry: Oh, we'll be fine. It's back to the drawing board. Back to the gene splicer. Thank you again, for the bike.
Natalie: Just don't leave it unlocked.
Dean Berry: Oh, it was locked.
Adrian Monk: They never found the lock.
Dean Berry: Pardon me?
Adrian Monk: The lock that came with your bike. They found the basket, and the bell, but they never found the lock. What did it look like?
Dean Berry: The lock? It was kind of a high-tech thing, with a a keypad.
Adrian Monk: Like that one?
Dean Berry: Yeah, as a matter of fact.
Adrian Monk: And you could set your own combination?
Dean Berry: That's right. Eight digits.
Adrian Monk: Ms. Longson, are you going somewhere?
Sarah Longson: Yes, as a matter of fact, I am. China. For three weeks.
Adrian Monk: Professor Berry, I can tell you why your experiment failed today, it was sabotaged. And she did it.
Sarah Longson: You must be joking!
Adrian Monk: You hired John Kuramoto to steal that bike. But it was never really about the bike, was it? You wanted the lock. Here's what happened. Those genetically altered seeds were worth a fortune. You knew you could sell them to anyone. Your friends in China, for instance. All you need was a combination. Your plan was simple. You showed up with a new bike, you said it was a gift. It was an ordinary bike, but the lock was something special. You had designed it yourself. It had an eight digit combination. You knew your boss. You knew he'd never memorize a whole new set of numbers.
Dean Berry: She was right. I used the same combination.
Adrian Monk: Most people do.
Natalie: It's human nature. I use the same password for everything.
Adrian Monk: Kuramoto stole the bike, and more importantly, the lock. That night, you went to work. All you had to do was retrieve the new combination. As you predicted, he had use the same numbers for both. You replaced the genetically altered seeds with a few ordinary ones. You knew you'd be long gone by the time anybody suspected anything.
Sarah Longson: Dean, who is this guy? I don't have to listen to this. You can't prove any of it.
Adrian Monk: It's true. We'll never find those seeds now. You had five days to hide them. But we can prove that you killed Mr. Kuramoto. Are those your sandals? They're quite unusual.
Sarah Longson: They're made from recycled tires. They're eco-friendly.
Adrian Monk: They may be eco, but they're not friendly. Natalie, I've seen those tread marks before. In the cemetery, near Kuramoto's body. I thought they were tire tracks.
Dean Berry: Sarah, tell me the truth. Did you do this? [Sarah throws a beaker of liquid] My eyes! I'm fine. Get her! Get her, don't let her get away.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Natalie: What happened, are you okay? What's wrong?
Adrian Monk: I stepped on something. It crackled when I stepped on it. Then it sort of smooshed. Then there was this tiny pop. What is it? What is it?
Natalie: You mean what was it?
Adrian Monk: Do something. Do something!
Natalie: All right. I'm taking off your shoe, I'll wipe it off.
Adrian Monk: No, just throw it away.
Natalie: I'm not going to throw it away.
Adrian Monk: Throw it.

Quote from Natalie

Sarah Longson: Dean, this is Adrian Monk. And, you remember Natalie Teeger?
Dean Berry: Yes, of course. The woman who stole my bike.
Natalie: No, I didn't steal your bike.
Dean Berry: No, you're right. Aided and abetted. I believe that that is the term. I'm sorry, I have to lock these up.
Do you mind turning around? It's just that if somebody else sees this combination, I have to memorize a new one.

Quote from Natalie

Natalie: Mr. Berry, look, I want to buy you a new bike. So if you just tell me the make and the model number, I'm happy to do that.
Dean Berry: That's very kind of you, Ms. Teeger. But that's not a bike that can be replaced. It was a gift from a non-profit environmental group, in recognition of my work here. Had my name engraved on it, custom seat, cool lock, eco-friendly hemp basket.
Natalie: Okay, okay. Then we'll track it down for you. I promise you. I give you my word that I will find that bike. Mr. Monk here is probably the best detective on the planet.
Dean Berry: He is?
Natalie: Yes, sir. And I know lots of other detectives too.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Natalie: Yeah, what about him?
Adrian Monk: No. See he's too tall. You're guy was only 5' 7 1/2.
Natalie: How do you know?
Adrian Monk: You're 5' 5". You were wearing 1 1/2" heels. And he was one inch taller than you.
Natalie: See. See, you're brilliant.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Detective: What are you doing here? Triple homicide on the pier?
Adrian Monk: Eh, not exactly.
Natalie: We're looking for a stolen bicycle.
Detective: You're kidding, right?
Adrian Monk: Natalie had chips.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: Oh, please tell me this isn't it.
Natalie: Yeah, 322. This is it.
Adrian Monk: Am I going to need a tetanus shot after this?
Natalie: Probably not.

Quote from Natalie

Adrian Monk: The kid. Kuramoto did they get him?
Natalie: No, he got away. He went out the back door. Looks like he took the bike. It wasn't in the house.
Adrian Monk: The bike. Oh, my God! That stupid bike.
Dr. Levinson: What bike?
Natalie: Oh, that's why we were there. We were looking for a stolen bike.
Dr. Levinson: Shooting someone over a bicycle? What's the world coming to?
Natalie: Mr. Monk, they're going to get him. The captain, and Randy, and every cop in the city are looking for this guy. And the captain, I've never seen him so mad. And that's saying a lot.
