Adrian Monk: I saw Trudy this morning.
Natalie: Well, that's a good thing.
Adrian Monk: No, but this was different, she wanted me to start sleeping in the middle of the bed. And she said "It won't be much longer".
Natalie: Mr. Monk, really, she said that? That's big! That's an omen. I had a premonition you were gonna have an omen!

Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Captain Stottlemeyer: Hey. Pretty weird, huh? What was it, twelve years ago?
Adrian Monk: Almost exactly.
Captain Stottlemeyer: The missing midwife, remember? I was on the telephone right here. And you were standing there in that exact same spot. Look, buddy, if you want to pass on this one, nobody would blame you.
Adrian Monk: No, I'm good.
Captain Stottlemeyer: You sure? 'cause it guess weirder. You remember the doctor we were talking to?
Adrian Monk: Nash, right?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Malcolm Nash, he is our guest of honor.
Adrian Monk: Oh, my God.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: So, apparently, he was here working late. I guess they're updating their files. He was scanning old paper work into the computer.
Adrian Monk: Scanning?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Scanning, the-- Doesn't matter. Anyway, he was at the computer, someone gets in, gets up behind him. Bang, one in the back. Bang, one on the head. .22 caliber. There were some patients down the hall, didn't hear a thing.
Adrian Monk: Silencer. Professional.
Captain Stottlemeyer: That's a safe bet.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: They are all here.
Captain Stottlemeyer: What's all here?
Adrian Monk: The pill bottles. See, here is the inventory. 58 bottles. And 58 bottles. He didn't take anything.
Captain Stottlemeyer: So it was a setup. He wants us to think junkie.
Adrian Monk: Looks like the killer stuck around for awhile and used the computer.
Natalie: How do you know?
Adrian Monk: The mouse is on the left side, but Dr. Nash is right handed.
Lieutenant Disher: How do you know that?
Adrian Monk: He was right handed 12 years ago.

Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Judge Ethan Rickover: Well, the A-Team has arrived. Captain. Lieutenant. Natalie, and the remarkable Mr. Monk. Good to see you again. [shakes Monk's hand; Monk takes out a wipe]
Captain Stottlemeyer: Sorry to bug you on a Sunday, Judge, but we got a warrant here that needs your signature.
Judge Ethan Rickover: Right. Well, I'm familiar with the file. Wouldn't you like to join us? Are you thirsty?
Lieutenant Disher: Actually, we're on duty sir.
Judge Ethan Rickover: Ah, well, of course you are. Let me take a look. Joey Kazarinsky. Why am I not surprised? Are we sure its him?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Well, the M.O. matches, he is left handed, he uses a .22 with a silencer.
Lieutenant Disher: Plus, we got a partial print. Monk put it all together.
Judge Ethan Rickover: Ha, well done, Detective. Well, everything looks in order. This is a historic moment. This could be the last search warrant I'll be signing. Please don't tell anyone. It's not official yet. The governor called me yesterday, he'd like me to commute to Sacramento.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Hey, State Supreme Court. Well, I guess that beats working for a living.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Captain Stottlemeyer: Monk what are you doing?
Adrian Monk: Straightening up.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Look, we're trying to intimidate this woman.
Adrian Monk: Give me a minute here.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Where's Natalie?
Adrian Monk: Oh, she's with her boyfriend. I gave her the day off.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Would you cut it out? She's gonna want us to come every Tuesday.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Lt. Steven Albright: So it was a Christmas gift from your wife?
Adrian Monk: That's right. She gave it to me just before she died.
Judge Ethan Rickover: Yeah, it's just sitting on his bookcase unopened. It's really romantic.
Adrian Monk: Oh, I'll never open it. I can't open it. It's the last secret we have.
Lt. Steven Albright: I think I understand. It's a way of keeping her alive.
Adrian Monk: Exactly.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Lt. Steven Albright: So, Adrian, you working on any interesting cases?
Natalie: Uh, there was a homicide at a birthing center.
Lt. Steven Albright: That's ironic.
Adrian Monk: It was a professional hit, we know who did it, but we just don't-- [raspy] Don't know why. [coughs]
Natalie: Mr. Monk, are you okay?
Adrian Monk: I'm fine. I guess I'm just not hungry. I can usually eat her food. [wipes a spoon]
Natalie: Mr. Monk, please stop. Please.
Adrian Monk: No, there's a spot. It's just not coming out. [wipes table] And another spot there. I'm seeing spots all over. [groans]
Natalie: I think he's sick.
Lt. Steven Albright: Adrian. Adrian, look at me. He is burning up. I think we should get him to a hospital.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Dr. Matthew Shuler: Mr. Monk, I'm Dr. Mathew Shule. Sorry to keep you waiting. [shakes Monk's hand]
Adrian Monk: That's okay. Okay. [takes out wipe]
Dr. Matthew Shuler: I wish more people would wipe their hands like that. We'd have a lot fewer patients.
Adrian Monk: Thank you.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Dr. Matthew Shuler: Listen, we're not talking food poisoning here. It is a lot more serious than that. This is some kind of synthetic toxin.
Lt. Steven Albright: Synthetic?
Dr. Matthew Shuler: Yes, and we do not know how it was introduced, but we do know the dosage is quite substantial.
Adrian Monk: What? I don't understand.
Dr. Malcolm Nash: You've been poisoned, Adrian. Somebody is trying to kill you. And they may have succeeded.
