Chandler takes Monica out to an expensive restaurant to propose, but a blast from Monica's past disrupts his plans. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Joey join Rachel at a charity auction, and Ross decides to break things off with Elizabeth.

Ross: Yeah, I was. But she was a little busy with a water balloon fight.
Monica: Oh, Ross. Sometimes grownups have commitments they just can't get out of.

Rachel: Well, hello. This is your lucky day, Mr. Bowmont. The Gentleman Daysailer has just become available again. And I believe you made a bid of $18,000?
Joey: You have to pay that. It's not just a guess.

Monica: Why do you want to see my hand?
Phoebe: I want to see what's in your hand. I want to see the trash.
Joey: Yeah.
Phoebe: Ew. It's all dirty. You should throw this out.

Joey: We didn't run it.
Chandler: Who walks into a room and asks to see a person's hands?
Phoebe: Well, a palm reader, a manicurist, a hand doctor.
Joey: Glove salesman.
Phoebe: Good one!

Chandler: Just hanging out. Talking about web sites. Yeah, we saw this really interesting web site about marriage. And how totally unnecessary it is and how it's just a way for governments to keep tabs on you.
Joey: Yeah, Big Brother.
Monica: Well, that's a little crazy. Although I am glad you are branching out at what you look at on the Internet.

Chandler: I just get mad when Rachel doesn't remember where we're going.
