Dr. Bell: [imaginary] Natalie. just talked to the commander. He's definitely the guy. Practically confessed. Went on and on and on how he's God on this ship and Adrian must be delusional.
Natalie: Mr. Monk?
Adrian Monk: Ssh.
Dr. Bell: Now, the answer must be in Lt. Pierce's cabin. We've got to get back in there and look around.
Adrian Monk: [nods] Let's move out.

Natalie: Wait. My belt. My good luck belt.
Adrian Monk: Yeah. How's that working out for you?
Natalie: Can you help me? Get the beads out. Get the beads out. It's hollow. We can make it like a snorkel. It'll buy us some time.
Adrian Monk: Okay.
Natalie: It works, try it!
Adrian Monk: I'm fine.
Natalie: Why, because of germs? Not now!
Adrian Monk: I'm fine. I'm fine.

Commander Nathan Whitaker: Detective Monk, Ms. Teeger. I'm glad to see you both in one piece.
Natalie: Are you?
Adrian Monk: It's all over, Commander. We solved the case. I'm gonna let Dr. Bell explain-
Natalie: No.
Steven Albright: You do it.
Natalie: He's sleepy. It's better if you do it. You're good at it.
Adrian Monk: Okay, fine, I'll do it. I'll do it.

Adrian Monk: We have all the pieces. The "who," the "why," and the "how."
Commander Nathan Whitaker: Is that right?
Adrian Monk: This is the how. It's a firecracker. And these ashes are from a cigarette.
Steven Albright: We found them in the vent behind the door.
Adrian Monk: It happened right here in this room a few minutes before the second drill. You forced Jason Pierce to drink some vodka then you shot him. You executed your friend in cold blood with a homemade silencer. Nobody heard a thing. You used a cigarette as a fuse, which gave you about five minutes to get back to the bridge. You hid it inside that vent, you figured it was the one place they wouldn't look. It was a perfect alibi. You were in the hallway with witnesses when they heard what they thought was a gunshot. All you had to do was slip the key into his pocket when no one was looking.
Natalie: We found a thumbprint on the inside of that vent.
Steven Albright: I could fax it to NCIS. It would take about a half an hour.
Commander Nathan Whitaker: That won't be necessary, Lieutenant.
Steven Albright: In that case, sir, I'm relieving you of your command and confining you to quarters.
Commander Nathan Whitaker: Congratulations, Detective Monk. I hope the rest of the Navy does its job as well as you do yours. [both salute]

Natalie: I can't. I'm sorry.
Steven Albright: Is it 'cause of Mitch? 'cause we were friends?
Natalie: God, I don't know. I just keep picturing him. I'm sorry.
Steven Albright: Well, I understand.
Natalie: You do? Then explain it to me.
