Quote from Adrian Monk
Sheriff Rollins: So he drove around in a circle?
Gas Station Attendant: I keep the steering wheel locked. It's called the club.
Sheriff Rollins: So he drove around in a circle, got out, ran away.
Gas Station Attendant: Well, more of an oval, really. Like a... Like an elliptical. Circle's fine. Just say circle.
Deputy Bell: Which way did he go?
Gas Station Attendant: South.
Sheriff Rollins: He's heading home.
Quote from Adrian Monk
Natalie: Where did you get that coat?
Adrian Monk: From a hobo. I traded him.
Natalie: For what?
Adrian Monk: I can't tell you. Don't make me tell you.
Quote from Adrian Monk
Natalie: Maybe I should call the captain.
Adrian Monk: You can't. You can't call the captain. He'd have to bring me in.
Natalie: No, not necessarily.
Adrian Monk: Nat- It's his job, Natalie. Look, I didn't shoot that man. Somebody set me up.
Natalie: But the bullets. It came from your gun.
Adrian Monk: I don't know how they did it or who's behind it. But I think that note, that coded message, was left for me. It was bait. They knew I'd decipher it. They staged the electronics store break-in to lure me to Angel. If I can get back there, look around that sculpture garden, maybe I can figure it out. Please, Natalie.
Natalie: I'm sorry. Of course I believe you. Of course I believe you.
Quote from Adrian Monk
Natalie: Here money.
Adrian Monk: Is this all you have?
Natalie: It's a week's paycheck. I was supposed to get a 5% bump back in January.
Adrian Monk: Okay, okay. We'll talk about that later.
Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer
Detective: If he made it across the river, he could be here.
Captain Stottlemeyer: What is this?
Detective: That's a dairy farm.
Captain Stottlemeyer: I don't think so. Where are you, buddy?
Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer
Sheriff Rollins: Captain, call the phone company. We're gonna need a wiretap.
Captain Stottlemeyer: On who?
Sheriff Rollins: Dr. Charles Kroger, downtown. Monk's shrink.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Yeah, I know.
Sheriff Rollins: He sees him four times a week. If you believe that. Guy's a one-man psych ward. You got a problem?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Well, tapping his shrink's phone. You're never gonna get a judge to-
Sheriff Rollins: Already done.
Captain Stottlemeyer: "Office of the Lieutenant Governor."
Sheriff Rollins: Yeah, he's an old friend. We used to sneak cigarettes behind the high school together.
Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer
Lieutenant Disher: You okay? Who was that?
Captain Stottlemeyer: That was Adrian Monk.
Sheriff Rollins: You're kidding.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Nope. I'm gonna meet him tonight. I just set it up. He wants me to bring him some food.
Sheriff Rollins: Good work, Captain. Call the Tac Squad.
Captain Stottlemeyer: He said I should come alone.
Sheriff Rollins: Yeah, I'm sure he did.
Lieutenant Disher: Can I come?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Yeah, sure.
Quote from Adrian Monk
Adrian Monk: Leland?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Hey, buddy! I brought you some chicken pot pies. [radio interference]
Adrian Monk: Did you hear that?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Relax, we're okay.
Adrian Monk: I told you to come alone. Are you setting me up, Leland?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Monk, I swear.
Adrian Monk: I told you, I can't go to prison. I- I can't go! You know I wouldn't survive it.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Just put the gun away. Monk! Monk! Monk! Monk, please drop the gun!
