‘Mr. Monk and the Airplane’

After Sharona drags Monk on a flight to see her aunt in New Jersey, he suspects a man of killing his wife before take-off.

Adrian Monk: [on the phone] Hi. Hello. [coughs] Yeah. I'm worried about a buddy of mine. Uh, Captain Claude Pritchard.
Man: Claude Pritchard the pilot, yeah. He's on the tarmac right now. He's been cleared to take off.
Adrian Monk: So, he made it okay. [chuckles] What a relief. Unbelievable.
Man: What do you mean?
Adrian Monk: Uh, oh, he was in pretty bad shape when I left him. We were out partying all last night, and into this morning, and we're just party boys.
Man: Party boys?
Adrian Monk: Yeah. Yeah, it was pretty ugly there for I tried to take his keys away, but you know how old Claude gets when he's totally... [Sharona whispers "hammered"] hammered.

Stefan Chabrol: Monsieur Monk, is it true this was your first flight?
Adrian Monk: That's right.
Stefan Chabrol: On ne peut pas tous prevenir. One cannot prepare for everything.

Sharona: Tim, hi. Um, I wanted to give you my number. I'm gonna be in town all week.
Tim Daly: George Clooney just signed on to do the part in that movie.
Sharona: The one I read?
Tim Daly: They're talking to Scorsese to direct.
Sharona: Oh. He's good.
Tim Daly: Yeah.
Sharona: Hey, hey. Um, can I tell you something? Even if it's a blockbuster, and George Clooney wins an Oscar, I'm not gonna go see it, on principle.
Tim Daly: Thank you.
Sharona: Uh, Don't forget this. [gives him her number] Bye!
