‘The Graduate’

After a few all too familiar slights set Sue back before graduation, she questions whether she has made a mark at high school. Frankie and Mike are surprised when Brick is offered the chance to skip eighth grade and go straight to high school. Meanwhile, Axl doesn't know where his relationship with Devin stands after they left college for the summer.

Mike: What is with this family? Why can't we get anywhere on time?!
Frankie: I told you, I'm working on it!
[Frankie returns to Sue's bedroom]
Frankie: Okay, Sue, seriously, your dad's not kidding around. We gotta go!
[Frankie drags Sue out of the hallway]
Frankie: Okay, I got her.
Sue: Nothing matters, Dad. What does it matter?
Mike: Okay, good conversation for the car.

Axl: Hello. What are you doing here?
Devin: It's torturous in Idaho. I missed you.
Axl: Oh, really? Sure didn't look like it. Looked like you were enjoying the great outdoors with a bunch of bearded dudes.
Devin: Wha? Chill, you fool. Those were my brothers.
Axl: Oh, yeah?
Devin: Okay, I just drove 28 hours to spend the weekend with you. Are you gonna kiss me again or what?
Axl: Yeah. I am.

Brick: Nice party. The only thing that would make it nicer would be if Batman made an appearance. But I heard Batman's mom made him return his costume.
Mike: Brick, I gotta tell you... [clears throat] I think eighth grade was the right choice.
Brick: Eh, it's still up for discussion.
Frankie: Ugh, this is just all moving too fast. Can't we just take it one milestone at a time?

Axl: All right, I came here to be nice to you, but if you're gonna be like that, I'm gonna go get Devin a burger.
Frankie: No, no, no, let's just stay here for a minute. I want everyone I love right here, right now.
