‘When Harry Kept Delores’
Season 5, Episode 18 - Aired February 20, 1996
When Delores starts working at the hardware store after her waitress hours are cut, it puts a wrench in her relationship with Harry.
Quote from Jill
Jill: Bye, Harry! Bye, Delores! [engine revs] Harry, slow down the car so Delores can get in!
Quote from Harry
Delores: Harry, you've gotta decide who comes first - your stupid friends or me.
Harry: Hm. When you put it that way, my stupid friends!
Delores: All right, Harry. Keep your hardware store. I'm outta here, and I'm not coming back.
Harry: Is that a promise?
Delores: Yeah. And I'll promise you another thing. When you get home tonight, I'm not gonna be there either!
Tim: Wait a minute. Delores, hold on... [Delores walks out] Harry, come on. Aren't you gonna go after her? I think she's serious about leaving you.
Harry: One can only hope.
Quote from Jill
Jill: This is so nice. It's a thank-you note from Delores for having them over for dinner.
Brad: Why is it only from Delores?
Jill: Because men hate to write these. You get a thank-you note from a man, you know his wife is dead.
Randy: We're guys. How come you make us write thank-you notes?
Jill: Because I'm trying to change the world one boy at a time.
Brad: We'll be sure to send you a thank-you.
Quote from Tim
Tim: Delores, what do you say when you end your shift, why don't you go to the store and talk to him?
Delores: I don't know.
Tim: You know, I've known Harry a long time. I've never known him to go a day without bad-mouthing you.
Delores: So that's supposed to make me want to go back to him?
Tim: Yes, it is. Listen to me. 'Cause that's the real Harry. And you know he doesn't mean any of that stuff. This happy Harry is just putting on a show and unfortunately it's a musical.
Quote from Tim
Delores: You know, Tim, I never realized you were such a sensitive guy.
Tim: Yeah, me neither. I've had a very bad week.
Quote from Tim
Man: Uh, excuse me. She forgot my doughnut.
Tim: Really? [throws doughnut] No one finished that one.
Tim: OK... You must be the pancakes, and you're the fruit.
Milton: Hey! I don't go for that sort of thing!
