Season 4, Episode 3 -  Aired October 4, 1999

Ray is surprised when Frank starts hanging around and complimenting his work.

Quote from Ray

Frank: So what are you working on there today, Ray?
Ray: Hockey. Hockey. The Avalanche, they're in town to play the Rangers.
Frank: Oh yeah? The Rangers don't have a chance.
Ray: Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Ray: Oh, yeah? Why? Nobody knows... [splutters]
Dominic: You moved.
Frank: What, Ray? Nobody knows what?
Ray: [sneezes] Nobody knows about Patrick Roy.
Frank: The Avalanche goalie?
Ray: Yeah, he's out. Knee problems. I think the Rangers got a pretty good shot.
Frank: Yeah. No kidding? Thanks, Sal. Thanks. I feel like a baby's butt.
Ray: What's your hurry, Dad? What's up?
Frank: I got to see a guy about a thing.
Ray: I thought we were going to talk.
Frank: [to Sal] Here you go, buddy. And here, this is for my favorite son!
Dominic: A father and son, it's a sacred thing. What you two got is beautiful. Now don't move your head. This is very sharp, honey.

Quote from Robert

Debra: So your father's just been using you?
Ray: Yup. I'm just a tip sheet to him.
Robert: [chuckles] Yeah!
Ray: What are you laughing at?
Robert: I thought Dad liked you more. Welcome home!

Quote from Ray

Ray: Come on, Ally, bed time.
Ally: Daddy, will you tell me a story?
Ray: Yeah, yeah, yeah, jump on. Once upon a time, there was a little boy who had a very mean father.

Quote from Ray

Ray: Hey, Dad. What, did you come by to have another chat?
Marie: Don't think you can come crawling back, Frank. 'Cause lips that touched Harriet Lichtman will never touch mine!
Frank: Quiet, Marie. I got to the Lodge tonight, I turn on the Ranger-Avalanche game. It's in overtime. Guess who's playing goalie for the Avalanche?
Ray: Why, I believe that's Patrick Roy.
Marie: Does anybody care about me?
Robert: Ma, Dad's not cheating on you. He's cheating on Ray.

Quote from Ray

Frank: You told me he wasn't going to play tonight!
Ray: I must have got it wrong. Oops.
Frank: I got a lot of money on this game!
Ray: Money? Dad, you wouldn't be betting with information I gave you, would you?
Frank: You set me up.
Ray: Yes, sir.
Frank: I'm family. You never go against the family.
Ray: What family? You used me! Coming around here, being all warm and cuddly, compliments out the wazoo. You just wanted inside information so you could bet guys at the Lodge!

Quote from Ray

Frank: Yes! Yes! Yes! You see this? This is proof of God here. You go against your father, thou art smited! I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'll- I'll split the money with you! Come on, you're not going to say no to 15 grand!
Ray: 15 grand?
Frank: Okay, 80 bucks.
Ray: Don't talk to me anymore.
Frank: What are you getting so mad about? You know, we had fun, didn't we? We're hanging out, palling around, having conversations.
Ray: Yeah, you know what, Dad? I did have fun. I thought you were talking to me like a real father.
Frank: There you go.
Ray: Good, good. Go.
