Greg: All right.

Quote from Chris

Chris: I box down at the gym.
Girl: Can I come down and watch you?
Chris: Yeah, sure. Coach, you got anybody else for me to take?
Thurman: Oh, sure. You could, uh, you could spar with Julio.
Chris: Doesn't make any difference to me whether I'm not getting hit by Painmaker or not getting hit by Julio.
Thurman: I'll set it up.
Greg: Who is Julio anyways?
Thurman: My Silver Shorts champion.
Chris: "Silver Shorts"? Doesn't that mean, like, the best boxer in the city?
Thurman: Yeah. What's the difference?
Girl: I'll see you there.
Adult Chris: [v.o.] Not if I leave town.

Quote from Rochelle

Adult Chris: [v.o.] While my head was spinning, my father went right to the point.
Julius: What happened to you? And who is Lawrence?
Rochelle: How do you know about Lawrence?
Adult Chris: [v.o.] Wrong answer.
Julius: I got the phone bill. You've been talking to him every night. How lonely have you been, Rochelle? [Rochelle laughs] This isn't funny.
Rochelle: Yes, it is. Julius, Lawrence is a radio deejay. I told you. I've been lonely, so sometimes I call him and I ask him to play songs that remind me of you.
Julius: Hmm. But some of these calls are for 30 minutes.
Rochelle: Sometimes he puts me on hold. There's a lot of lonely people out there, baby.
Julius: Oh.
Rochelle: You feel stupid, huh?
Julius: Yeah.
Rochelle: That's what's funny.
Adult Chris: [v.o.] It wasn't the attention my mother wanted, but it did make her feel closer to my father.

Quote from Chris

Chris: What happened?
Greg: Champ knocked you out.
Chris: Uh... Man, we better get going. We're going to miss the fight.
Tonya: You already missed the fight, stupid.
Chris: It's over?
Greg: Tyson won in a ten-round decision.
Julius: You've been in a coma for three days. Doctor said you're going to need your rest. When Julio hit you, he kind of damaged your inner ear, so your equilibrium's off a little bit.
Chris: What's that mean?
Greg: It means no more boxing. But the good news is he didn't break your legs.
Tonya: So you can still run.
Chris: No more boxing? Really?
Greg: Yeah, watch. I'm going to come at you with this hand, and you're going to try to move. [slaps Chris's forehead]
Chris: Ow!
