After Mary is made dean of the arts and science school, Dick thinks his girlfriend's promotion gives him power as well. Meanwhile, Sally and Don sleep together.

Sally: I guess I just didn't realize what an impact losing my virginity would have on my life.
Don: Losing your virgin- Hokey smokes!
Sally: You didn't know?
Don: No, Sally, I I'm honored it was me. I... [chuckles] I- I guess if you've never been with anyone else, then you can't fully appreciate how magnificent a lover I really am.
Sally: I can imagine.
Don: Oh, you are a lucky girl, Sally! A lucky, lucky girl.

Don: This information is only for members of the Sally-Don club. There are only two members.
Sally: You and me, Don?
Don: Me and you.
Sally: Can Tommy join?
Don: No.
Sally: Good.

Lucy: The man's an idiot.
Mary: He really is.
Lucy: Why are you even seeing him?
Mary: Well, it's hard to meet nice guys.
Lucy: Eh, tell me about it.
Mary: So, Lucy, will you drop the suit and take your job back at the cafeteria?
Lucy: After the trauma I suffered there? I could never work in the cafeteria again.
Mary: Why?
Lucy: I'm frightened.
Mary: Okay, what'll it take?

Dick: You!
Lucy: Can I help you?
Dick: I have to see Mary.
Lucy: Not so fast, Doc. She's a very busy woman. Sit down and wait your turn!
Dick: Mary!
Mary: [o.s.] Lucy, tell whoever it is I'm busy.
Dick: Mary, it's me!
Mary: Tell him I know who it is.

Sally: You know, sometimes it's nice to give up power.
Dick: Really?
Sally: Well, yeah. I don't always have to be the take-charge Lieutenant. I mean, sometimes I can let somebody else have control. Letting yourself be vulnerable, it opens you up to a whole new world of experience.
Tommy: Tell us... more.
Sally: No.
Tommy: It was worth a shot.
Dick: I really thought you had her that time.
