‘Boys' Therapy’

Season 9, Episode 6 -  Aired November 15, 2004

After Ray and Frank agree to join Robert at his therapy session, the guys back out and go to the racetrack instead.

Quote from Robert

Robert: This is so great. All right, guys, there's a couple of things I wanna go over before we go inside. I don't want this to throw you off, but Dr. Greenberg has a bit of a lazy eye. Okay? So when he looks at you, he may not be looking at you. He may be looking at you. So you guys know what you wanna start with today?
Ray: How much I hate you.
Robert: Actually, that's very good. Don't hold back, Raymond. There's nothing to be afraid of.

Quote from Robert

Robert: All right, that's enough. Not only did you two lie to the girls, but you made me lie to the doctor. Now it's gonna be harder than ever to look Dr. Greenberg in the eye.

Quote from Robert

Robert: Hello, ladies.
Ray: Hey. How are we doing?
Robert: Oh, we are up like a wedgie on the fat kid at camp.
Frank: How much?
Robert: Well, my Papa, after five weeks, we have cleared 1,400 semoleans.
Frank: Here's to psychotherapy.

Quote from Amy

Amy: Did you see this?
Debra: What?
Marie: What is it, dear?
Amy: It's Dr. Greenberg.
Debra: Obituaries. He died?
Marie: Oh my God, that's awful.
Amy: I know. He had a heart attack last week. He was such a sweet man.
Marie: Oh, his poor family. This is terrible.
Debra: Wait a minute. He died last week?

Quote from Robert

Robert: What is it? [Ray hands him the newspaper] Oh my God, was he hit by a car? He's got that lazy eye.

Quote from Debra

Marie: I demand an explanation.
Amy: You lied to us.
Debra: Where exactly have you been going?
Ray: All right, if you must know. We go to church.
Debra: Oh, bull!
Marie: Oh! To lie about church is a double sin!
Amy: This is a terrible thing you did.
Frank: What did we do?
Debra: You tricked us into thinking you weren't pigs anymore, but you are worse than pigs. You're talking pigs who lie!

Quote from Amy

Amy: Why would you do this to us? Here we were, so happy that you guys were finally connecting. And we pictured you sitting in Dr. Greenberg's office and going through all your awful fights and traumas and crying, and it was so cute.

Quote from Frank

Marie: Where did you go, Frank?
Frank: I'm not talking. There is such a thing as patient-doctor confidentiality.

Quote from Ray

Ray: All right, okay. But we really did work stuff out. Right, guys?
Robert: You know, we did. We really did. I mean, we had to, for our made-up crap to be believable.
Ray: It's true. Something good happened while we weren't going to therapy. Me and Dad and Robert, we enjoyed being together and we laughed and we found out stuff. So you don't have to be mad, because what you wanted us to get out of therapy we kind of did. And we feel good now, except for the dead doctor part. But I can honestly say that we are better people now. You've seen it. So can't you be a little happy for us?
Debra: I am happy for you. But don't touch me.
Ray: Deb.
Debra: I need a 10-foot radius.

Quote from Frank

Marie: Explain it again, Cousin Bella, because I really want him to understand it.
Bella: Well, Frank it is my opinion that this lack of communication comes from your fear of intimacy. But what you need to do is listen to your wife when she speaks. Really listen to her. Because it's important that she knows you care about her. So we will explore this together over the next three weeks that I'm here. What are you feeling, Frank?
Frank: What am I feeling? [Frank tilts his head towards Bella]
