‘Rat Girl’
Season 9, Episode 25 - Aired April 4, 1991
As Frasier and Lilith prepare to attend interviews for Frederick's pre-school, Lilith is depressed when her favorite lab rat dies. Meanwhile, Rebecca goes on a health kick, and Sam meets a woman who shows no interest in him but has the hots for Paul.
Quote from Sam
Paula: [laughs] Oh, Paul.
Sam: Why is she laughing? Paul's not funny. [Paula continues laughing]
Pete: Does anyone know what Paul does for a living? After all, women are attracted to power.
Norm: Uh, I think he's a tollbooth attendant.
Carla: Yep, well, that would explain the quarter tips.
Woody: I think I know what it is. Paul's a real nice guy and a good listener. He probably shows a genuine interest in who she is as a person. Probably treats her with respect.
Sam: Well, if that's the case, he's welcome to her.
Quote from Sam
Sam: This is driving me crazy. I've gotta fin... Excuse me. Listen. Apparently, you've been, you know, shooting me down here for the last couple of days because of the way I look.
Paula: So?
Sam: I think it's unfair that you're not willing to get to know the real me. I think if you did, we could be really good friends.
Paula: You want to be friends?
Sam: Yeah, I do.
Paula: Yeah? Okay, well, maybe we could start by you introducing me to some of your friends. Especially that large and lovely one right over there.
[As Sam moves out of the way, Paula takes a look at Norm sitting sideways on his stool eating two donuts like a sandwich]
Sam: You mean Norm?
Paula: Yeah. He's a suitful, isn't he?

Frasier: Well, Sam, I've done it. Blighted my child's hopes of ever getting an education, and probably ruined my marriage as well. I think my life is over.
Sam: Yeah, well, life is tough. I just got shot down by a chick who likes fat guys.
Quote from Norm
Carla: Oh, Rebecca, do you have any more of those rice cakes?
Rebecca: Why?
Carla: Well, you were right. They're the perfect food.
Rebecca: Yeah, what's the gag?
Carla: No, I'm telling you, we've been enjoying them all day, right?
Cliff: You bet.
Rebecca: Really?
Carla: Yeah.
Rebecca: Well, that's neat. I'm glad I could make you guys, you know, feel better. Yeah, I've got a whole new bag of them right down here.
Carla: Great.
Rebecca: You guys are gonna feel so much healthier when you eat like this. I'm not kidding. You'll have a lot more energy. Your bodies will feel lighter. Your reflexes will be sharper.
Norm: Oh, our reflexes are already much, uh, sharper. Carla, pull.
[As Carla tosses a rice cake in the air, Norm, Cliff and Pete fire at it with toy pistols]
