‘The Flirting Game’

Season 6, Episode 13 -  Aired January 7, 1997

Jill has flirting on her mind after she sees Tim talked into buying a household cleaner by an attractive door-to-door saleswoman.

Quote from Tim

Jill: So, even though I thought I blew it, he gave me the job based on my qualifications.
Tim: I'm very proud of you. And here is to the new job.
Jill: Thank you. So I hope you learned something from all of this.
Tim: Yes... yes, of course.
Jill: What did you learn?
Tim: Isn't it enough that I learned something? Do I have to explain it?

Quote from Tim

Jill: Well, you should've learned that a woman doesn't have to flirt to get what she wants.
Tim: Mmm.
Jill: She can move ahead in her life with talent, honesty and determination, and hard work, and...
Tim: Are you listening to anything I'm saying?
Jill: Hm?
Tim: I'm sorry. But that... bun is driving me crazy.
Jill: The bun?
Tim: And that granny get-up. Hoo-haw!

Quote from Tim

Officer Ambrose: Good evening, sir.
Tim: Good evening. It's downright balmy for January, isn't it, officer?
Officer Ambrose: May I see your license and registration?
Tim: Of course. Yes, of course. They're in my jeans. They're kind of tight, though.
Officer Ambrose: Sir, I clocked you going 50 miles per hour. The maximum speed is 35. I'm afraid I'll have to give you a ticket.
Tim: Hold on a minute. You know... ...l'm, um... I'm terribly sorry. And if you gave me a warning, you know, I...
I promise I'd never do it again. Promise.
Officer Ambrose: Sorry, sir. The law is the law.
Tim: But I'm sure you have the power to make an exception.
[As Tim stares at the officer, she shines her flashlight in his eyes.]
Officer Ambrose: Sir, get out of the vehicle. I'm going to administer a sobriety test.
