Sleepover at Peggy's

‘Sleepover at Peggy's’

Season 7, Episode 19 -  Aired March 31, 2003

With Debra under the weather, Ray must take Ally to a sleepover at her friend's house, even if it means seeing Peggy (Amy Aquino) again.

Quote from Ray

Robert: What's with you? What happened?
Ray: Nothing, nothing. I went to the drugstore and it's kinda windy out. Let me ask you something. What does it mean when a woman pats you on your... you know, on your bottom?
Gianni: What drugstore did you go to?
Ray: No. It didn't happen at the drugstore. I drove Ally to a friend's house and it was the mom. You know that scout leader Peggy?
Gianni: The cookie lady fondled you?
Ray: Yeah.
Gianni: Get any cookies?
Ray: No!

Quote from Ray

Ally: Come on, Mommy, I'm ready to go!
Debra: Honey, you know what? Mommy's too sick, so Daddy's gonna take you.
Ally: Okay. Come on, Daddy!
Ray: Well, listen how good of a friend is Molly? Because I gotta tell ya, I don't see it.
Debra: Ray!
Ray: All right!

Quote from Ray

Peggy: Hello, Ally's dad.
Ray: Hello... Peggy.
Molly: Maybe Ally's dad could help us set up the tent.
Peggy: That's all right. Mommy can do it.
Molly: But you said you couldn't.
Peggy: Molly, Mommy will figure it out.
Ray: They're gonna sleep outside?
Peggy: No! I promised them they could set up the tent in the living room and pretend it's a sleep-out.
Ally: Daddy, why don't you help us?
Ray: Uh I don't know, Ally.
Peggy: See, that's right. If I can't figure it out, then Ally's dad certainly...
Ray: Actually, it's probably not too hard. Let's take a look.

Quote from Ray

Peggy: I really don't need your help. I've got the instructions right here. I hate this thing. I told Sam not to buy it.
Ray: Your husband?
Peggy: Ex-husband.
Ray: "Ex." Hmm. Surprise, surprise.
Peggy: What was that?
Ray: Nothing, nothing. I wonder- I wonder what would happen if you opened it and pulled this. Well! Look at that!
Ally: Thanks, Daddy!
Molly: Thanks, Mr. Barone.
Ray: Maybe I should get a merit badge.

Quote from Ray

Peggy: Well, Molly, you can go get your sleeping bag now.
Ray: You kids enjoy the tent that I made.
Peggy: Well... thanks. I appreciate it.
Ray: Well... you're welcome. You know what, you should probably tie this to the table here.
Peggy: Oh, great! [pats Ray's bottom] Well, thanks again.

Quote from Ray

Peggy: So what time do you want to come back tomorrow?
Ray: What?
Peggy: Tomorrow. To pick up Ally.
Ray: Uh... I don't know.
Peggy: How 'bout, uh, 10:00?
Ray: Yeah, okay. 10. 10 sounds good. That's a good time for somebody to come and get her. Yeah. Like my wife, Debra, who's my wife.

Quote from Ray

Ray: I was helping her fix the tent for the kids, and I-I bent over to fasten the thing to the table, and all of a sudden I'm being touched in an impure manner.
Robert: Well, was it a pat or a squeeze?
Ray: I'm not sure.
Robert: Well, was there grasping or cupping of any kind?
Ray: I don't know! It was so quick!

Quote from Gianni

Robert: Okay, look, I'll tell you what, I'll bend over, and I want you to recreate exactly what she did to you.
Ray: All right.
Gianni: Robert, do you want a glass of wine first?

Quote from Ray

Ray: I'm in the middle of an investigation here. I was bent over like that and I guess I said, "Let me tie the thing to the table," and she did this...
Robert: Oh, so she just patted it?
Ray: No, no! I did it too fast. It wasn't like sports. It was- It was too soft. Let me show you. It was like this.

Quote from Ray

Debra: Ray, I asked you for the nighttime one. Don't you ever listen? This is daytime. This is gonna keep me up all night.
Ray: Oh. Take a drink with it.
