Quote from Harry

Dick: What's your point, Lieutenant?
Sally: You let in an outsider. She's getting in the way of this mission.
Dick: I'm giving you an opportunity to observe her up close.
Harry: Well, she's no Jo Anne Worley, but quarters to her.

Quote from Tommy

Mary: Hello, Tommy. I really want the two of us to be friends.
Tommy: Don't you have any friends of your own?
Mary: You're probably very confused about what's going on between your father and me.
Tommy: No, not really. I have excellent hearing.
Mary: I just want you to know that your father and I are going to be seeing a lot more of each other.
Tommy: Oh, wow. How much could possibly be left?

Quote from Dick

Dick: Dr. Suter.
Dr. Suter: What?
Dick: [shouts] I said, Dr. Suter!
Dr. Suter: You again!
Dick: Do you need any help?
Dr. Suter: Get away from me.
Dick: Good for you! Stay independent!

Quote from Dick

Sally: Hey, why can't I interfere with the planet? You do.
Dick: I do not.
Sally: What do you call what you're doing with Dr. Albright?
Dick: Well, that's different. When you're in love with someone, you're allowed to screw up their life. That's what love is.

Quote from Nina

Dick: Nina, can I ask you something?
Nina: Damn! I almost made it.
Dick: There's a man and a woman, and the woman won't let the man near her in public. The man is very frustrated. What should he do when all he wants is climb to the top of the engineering tower and proclaim his love for all the campus to hear?
Nina: Well, I wouldn't do that if I were him.
Dick: Why not?
Nina: Because Dr. Albright would kill him dead.
Dick: [over bullhorn] Fine. I won't.

Quote from Dick

Dr. Suter: Look, do you want her back, or do you want her to think you're an idiot?
Dick: I want her back.
Dr. Suter: Well, you've got to play it cool. You have to act like you couldn't care less whether she likes you or not.
Dick: But I do.
Dr. Suter: No, you don't.
Dick: Yes, I do!
Dr. Suter: No, you don't.
Dick: Oh, right. Maybe I don't.
Dr. Suter: There you go.
Dick: But I do!

Quote from Dick

Dick: This is great dip, Mrs. Sumner.
Mrs. Sumner: It's pate.
Dick: This is great dip, Pate.

Quote from Dick

Mary: Dick, is there something--
Dick: Martini, dry. Not too dry. Moist, very moist.
Mary: I see. You're punishing me. Fine.

Quote from Judith

Judith: Trouble in paradise, Mary?
Mary: Oh, shut up. Don't you have anything better to do? Why don't you get a life so I'll have somebody to talk about?
Judith: [flatly] Ouch.

Quote from Dick

Dick: [over bullhorn] Mary Albright is mine!
Mary: [over bullhorn] Dick Solomon is mine!
Don: [over bullhorn] You on the roof, put down the bullhorn! There have been complaints. Put down the bullhorn! Sally: [on the phone] Thanks, Don.
