Frankie: So I think she wants me to buy her a new bear.
Pat: Did she say that?
Frankie: Well, not exactly, but you know her tone, Mom. There was a definite tone. And it's not even the money that bothers me. It's the judgment.
Pat: I'm just happy to have both my girls home for the holiday.

Frankie: [on the phone] Hey, Mom. Listen, your onion dip recipe... is that from the back of the chip bag or the back of the soup box?
Pat: Chip bag. What's it for?
Tag: [o.s.] Who is that? Janet?
Pat: No, it's Frankie. It's for the homecoming tailgate on Saturday. I just thought I might bring some.
Pat: Ooh, a tailgate. Sounds nice.
Frankie: Yeah, and I'm making a signature drink. Should be really fun. Not the drink, the whole day. But the drink should be fun, too. Yeah, it's kind of bluish.
Pat: Hey, you know, we haven't been to a homecoming in forever. Maybe we should come down.
Frankie: No, I don't think...
Pat: Tag, you want to go to Homecoming this Saturday?!
Tag: [o.s.] At Janet's?
Pat: At Frankie's! [sighs] Yeah, sure. Let's do it. We'll see you this weekend.

Frankie: Okay, Mom, your turn.
Pat: [gasps] I get to pick, too? Oh, this is fun. Mike, I got you. [gasps] I already know what I'm gonna give you. A lifetime pass so you never have to dance with me. [Frankie and Pat chuckle]
Mike: I don't follow.
Pat: Oh, it's nothing. We don't have to talk about it now.
Frankie: Oh, perfect. I got Mom for Mother's Day. I'm sorry... Not Mother's Day.
Sue: Oh, I got Brick. [gasps] I already have an idea of what I'm gonna do.
Mike: Hang on. Pat, I don't get what you mean by a dance pass.
Pat: Oh, it's just about at Janet's wedding when I tried to get you to dance with me and you wouldn't. It's water under the bridge.
