Angela: What?
Sophia: You heard me. What's that on your neck?
Angela: A wart.
Sophia: I'm talking about my necklace. The one that Momma gave me for confirmation. You always wanted that necklace.
Angela: I did not.
Sophia: Then why did you take it?
Angela: To cover the wart.

Angela: Here. Forget it. Ever since I've got here, your mother's been accusing me of stealing everything of hers that wasn't nailed down and I'm sick of it. I'm glad I'm moving.
Sophia: Moving?
Blanche: Angela found herself an apartment.
Angela: Yes. And I know you hate me, so you don't have to bother to visit.
Dorothy: Come on, you two. Ma, she is your only sister.
Sophia: OK. All we've done is fight for three weeks. What do you say we call a truce?
Angela: OK. A truce.

Sophia: Open up, you tramp. I know you're in there.
Angela: Who is it?
Sophia: You can run but you can't hide.
Angela: Run? I can barely walk.
Sophia: Fine. Rub it in.
Angela: What are you talking about?
Sophia: You and Tony have been fooling around.
Angela: That's a lie. I've been out shopping all day.
Sophia: In your bath robe?
Angela: I came home, I took a shower. Kill me.
Sophia: Why do you think I came over here?
Angela: Oh, how you gonna you do it? Force me me eat your baked ziti?
Sophia: Take that back.
Angela: I will not.

Angela: You've insulted my sister's honor.
Tony: I don't know what to say.
Sophia: I'll tell you what to say. Say "ouch." [swings her purse at him]
Angela: Say "that hurts." [ditto]
Sophia: Say "please stop hitting me."

Rose: Well, at least something good came out of this. You two are close again.
Sophia: Yeah, right now, but before long we'll be fighting again. That doesn't mean we don't love each other. It's just the nature our relationship. We get it from our mother.
Angela: Our father.
Sophia: Mother.
Angela: Father.
Sophia: Shut up.
Angela: You shut up.
Sophia: May your nose-
Dorothy: Ma!

Sophia: You're right. You're right. [shaking her head] We get it from our father. Now, Angela, there's something I want to give you. Here.
Angela: That's the necklace Momma gave you.
Sophia: I know. I want you to have it. It's my way of apologizing for the way I acted.
Angela: Oh, Sophia, this is the nicest thing anybody ever gave me.
Sophia: Don't get all choked up. The only reason I gave it to you is to hide that wart.

Rose: Oh, I must have left the door open and she wandered away.
Angela: Oh, I've got to get out of here and get another apartment.
Dorothy: Aunt Angela, until you find a place, you're gonna stay right here with us.
Sophia & Angela: Dorothy, can I see you for a moment?
