Blanche: Now what's the matter?
Dorothy: I'll tell you what's the matter. I cannot believe that you are actually going to go out with Stan again tonight.
Blanche: Why shouldn't I go out with Stan again tonight?
Dorothy: You're right. My mistake. I thought you were my friend.
Blanche: I am your friend.
Dorothy: Then why are you sleeping with my husband?
Blanche: [to the crowd of onlookers] What are y'all looking at? Get back to your LeSueur Peas. Dorothy, I promise, there's nothing between us.
Dorothy: If there's nothing between you, then you will not go out with him tonight. Isn't that right?
Blanche: We're only going to see a play. And he's not even her husband, he's her ex-husband. Why am I even explaining this to you? Why am I explaining this to anybody?
