‘Lainey Loves Lionel’

Season 3, Episode 14 -  Aired February 10, 2016

Beverly forbids Adam to see the R-rated movie “Porky’s,” so Murray pushes him to break the rules. But the plan backfires when Beverly forbids Adam to use the phone for Valentine’s Day. As a result, he takes the rule breaking to a whole new level.  Meanwhile, Barry tries too hard to impress Lainey for the holiday using the legendary music of Lionel Ritchie.

Quote from Barry

Barry: You want me to get Lainey flowers? They're nature's trash. They don't even do anything.

Quote from Barry

Barry: Okay, I know what I got to do. See, the girl in the video was blind. I've been looking at Lainey with my eyes, when I should really be looking at her with my hands. Hands are the eyes of the arms.

Quote from Barry

Barry: Wait, how many teeth do you have? Stop and let me count your teeth.

Quote from Geoff

Geoff: What up, what up. Guess who's all about VD today? Wait, that sounded really bad.

Quote from Murray

Adam: Porky's. Oh, yes.
Beverly: Hell no. Do you realize that movie is packed with potty-language, adult situations and Florida attitude?
Adam: Yeah, that's why I want to see it.
Beverly: Not with those beautiful eyes.
Murray: One's kind of wonky, the other's all right.

Quote from Adam

Dave Kim: You're freaking out.
Adam: I am not.
Dave Kim: Well why's your voice all high and squeaky?
Adam: That's just how I sound now.

Quote from Adam

Adam: Hey, I break plenty of rules. Jaywalking. I once ran with scissors. They were safety scissors and I lied about the jaywalking. So, lying. Lying is on the list now!

Quote from Beverly

Beverly: I don't mean to judge any of you, but you're all terrible. Best of luck.

Quote from Erica

Erica: Argh!
Barry: Was that a scream of delight?
Erica: That was terror. Seriously, this thing is going to haunt me forever.
Barry: In a good way?
Erica: Who gets haunted in a good way?
Barry: Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams.
Erica: Okay, that was a fantastic example, but this thing is beyond disturbing.

Quote from Adam

Adam: Guys, guys, I think the headline here is that I did the right thing in the end.
Pops: True.
Adam: I cried until they turned that plane around. That was not easy and cost me every bit of my dignity.
Pops: He did do that.
Adam: And I did not try smoking, even though the other passengers said it would calm my nerves.
Pops: You should head upstairs now.
Adam: Same goes for the tiny vodka bottles.
Pops: Head upstairs now.
