Following Dr. Cox's suspension, J.D. sees a chance to convince a board member to save his mentor's career, unaware that the board member is Cox's ex-wife Jordan. Meanwhile, when Elliot treats a psychiatrist she acts like she's his patient, and Carla is torn between her relationship with Turk and caring for her mother.
Quote from J.D.
J.D.: [v.o.] Sometimes no matter how badly you want to stop something, there's nothing you can do to stop it. And right now, the board of directors of Sacred Heart is behind that door sipping bubbly water and killing the career of Dr. Cox.
Dr. Cox: Yes. I am bullet-proof.
J.D.: He's taking it well.

Ted: So, no hard feelings, amigo?
Dr. Cox: Careful.
Ted: Catch you on the flip side.

Dr. Kelso: I really think you're making a big mistake. [Jordan yawns] You see, the most destructive thing about Dr-
Jordan: Yawn! You see, I say yawn because when I actually yawn, you don't get it. [exits]
Dr. Kelso: See you in hell.

Dr. Cox: Although it did take some stones to be honest.
J.D.: Stick with the truth and you can't get hurt. Just always been my philosophy. [Dr. Cox whistles as J.D. leaves] You didn't sleep with her, did you?
Dr. Cox: God, no.
J.D.: [v.o.] Philosophy is tricky.
