Quote from Captain Stottlemeyer

Mr. Sutton: You were right. Joseph Moody. Worked here nine years. Retired six weeks after the robbery.
Captain Stottlemeyer: What a surprise.
Mr. Sutton: Actually, he lived right around the corner on Beech Street.
Lieutenant Disher: Yeah, we know. A friend of ours just bought that house.
Captain Stottlemeyer: What the hell?
Lieutenant Disher: Looks like a signal.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Dot, dot, dot... Dot.
Lieutenant Disher: "S."
Captain Stottlemeyer: Is that a dash?
Lieutenant Disher: "O." S-o.
Captain Stottlemeyer: S-o.
Lieutenant Disher: Soda! somebody's selling soda.
Captain Stottlemeyer: It's Natalie. She's in trouble.

Quote from Adrian Monk

Adrian Monk: I might be interested. In- In the house. I- I might want to buy it.
Captain Stottlemeyer: You what?
Adrian Monk: Just have- I just have one question. Do any of the neighbors play piano?
Pamela Moody: I wouldn't know. The walls are so thick you can't really hear anything.
Adrian Monk: Really?
Captain Stottlemeyer: Monk, come here. You are tired. You're not thinking straight. You're between shrinks. You can't be making any big decisions right now.
Adrian Monk: You can't hear anything.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Monk, look. We all miss Dr. Kroger. Go home. Get some sleep. You- You can't just buy a house on some crazy impulse. [both chuckle]
Adrian Monk: I'll take it.
