Sharona takes a break from being Monk's nurse after a series of harrowing moments leave her questioning her sanity. Sharona sets Monk up with a nurse from her creative writing class, Varla Davis (guest star Niecy Nash).

Sharona: What?
Adrian Monk: I missed you.
Sharona: I missed you, too. Get in the car.
Adrian Monk: And, uh can I be the one with all the problems again?
Sharona: Sure. Get in the car.
Adrian Monk: What a relief. Unless, of course, you miss it. We could take turns. I can go off the rails Monday through Friday, you can have the weekends. Actually, you know what? That would be perfect, because even though I would be on my own for those two days, you couldn't stick me with Varla again, because she always takes the weekends off. Of course, then you would have to prepare my Saturday and Sunday meals in advance.
