James Novak: So what?
Adrian Monk: So Kate Kindel, the fourth victim, lived 50 miles north. Why would he go out of his way like that? And wasn't she strangled from behind? All the other victims were strangled from the front.
Lieutenant Disher: Yeah, you're right, she was strangled from behind.
Adrian Monk: Right. Douglas Thurman did kill victims one, two, and three. We were right about that. But somebody else killed Kate Kindel.
James Novak: Well, the case is over, Mr. Monk.
Adrian Monk: I don't think so.
