Natalie: Who was that?
Lieutenant Disher: Nobody.
Natalie: You just said, "Thank you, Doctor."
Lieutenant Disher: No, I didn't.
Captain Stottlemeyer: It was Dr. Kroger. The crime scene boys found something inside that might upset you. That's why we called.
Lieutenant Disher: We figured you might want to talk to him, so he said he'd stay up and wait for you.
Natalie: Did somebody die?
Adrian Monk: Somebody we know?
Lieutenant Disher: It's not homicide.
Captain Stottlemeyer: Nobody was hurt. It's a straight-up burglary. Monk, it's pretty intense. If you don't think you can handle it, maybe you should just go home.
Adrian Monk: I understand. [walks away]
