While Phil takes Jay on an unexpected fishing trip, Gloria wonders how to break the news that she's pregnant. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron try to move on from their failed adoption attempt by getting a cat.

Claire: Oh, and that beard is going.
Phil: Fine, but it's gonna kill Shorty.
