Future Ted: [v.o.] When you get married you start out growing certain parts of your life. And for Lily and Marshall, those certain parts were, for the most part, me.
[Lily heads towards the bathroom, goes in and screams. Ted comes out of the bathroom, dressed only in a bath towel, an electric razor in a hand]
Ted: Why could you come in? You heard me shaving!
Lily: I thought you were shaving your face.
Ted: Well, clearly I wasn't!
