[twelve years later, Robin and Lily chat over wine:]
Robin: All gone.
Lily: We need to do this more often.
Robin: We totally do. I can't believe Marvin's in middle school.
Lily: Oh, he's growing up so fast.
Robin: Can I confess something to you? Remember that day you left Marvin's binky on the bus and I let that old lady pick him up?
Lily: I seem to recall that was the entire story.
Robin: There's a little bit more.
[flashback:]
Woman: There, there, little one. Let's put you back in your strolly-poo, so you can drift off to dreamy-dreamy land.
Robin: Oh, thank you so much. Yeah, this is my first time alone with him, and, you know... I have this weird feeling that I'm gonna, I don't know, like, drop him or injure him in some way, which is completely insane.
[The stroller begins to roll away:]
Woman: But... Oh, heavens.
Robin: Oh, my God!
[present:]
Lily: Oh, my God.
Robin: I know, I'm so sorry.
Lily: Well, you know what? That was what, 12 years ago? Don't even worry about it.
Robin: Really?
Lily: Yeah.
Robin: Oh, thank you.
Lily: Just promise me there's no more to that story.
Robin: Nope, that... is... it.
