‘Say Goodnight, Gracie’

Season 7, Episode 15 -  Aired February 10, 1998

After Tim looks after Marty's daughter Gracie for an afternoon, he wants Jill to consider having a daughter of their own.

Quote from Al

Al: Well, Heidi and I used the Binford 61 miniature lathe to shape the post for our canopy bed.
Tim: When using small tools like this, it's a great idea to use magnifying glasses so you can see what you're doing. [Tim, Al & Heidi all don magnifying glasses] I can actually see the cameraman's brain from here. While these guys finish the posts for the bed, I'm gonna use more glue on my table top here.
Al: Now, the great thing about these microtools is that they allow you to shape your posts almost effortlessly. [Tim's hand sticks to the table] All right, Heidi, why don't you finish that up while we, uh, check in with Tim. Tim, you OK?
Tim: Mm-hmm. Yes.
Al: Where's the dining-room table?
Tim: Here.
Al: All right. Now... Well, let go.
[Tim gets a screwdriver and slides it under his hand that's glued to the little table. As Tim breaks free, the table swings up and hits Al on the forehead, sticking to him.]
Tim: Wait. What happened to all those chairs?
[When Tim turns around, he has four miniature chairs stuck to his shirt]
Al: We'll be right back after these words from Binford.

Quote from Tim

Tim: Is everything all right over there, Wilson?
Willow: Oh. Hey, Tim. How's it going, bro?
Tim: Hi, Willow. What's with the fire?
Willow: Uncle Wilson built this for some sacred Hindu ritual. But I'm using it to dry my nail polish. This color's called Back to the Fuchsia.
Tim: When you little girls paint your nails, you're so cute.
Willow: I'm 26 and I got a fungus under my thumbnail like you wouldn't believe.
Tim: Well, you were probably cute when you were little.
Willow: Yeah. But then there was that awkward period between three and twenty-five. Speaking of periods, I'm starting to bloat...
Tim: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Wilson!

Quote from Wilson

Wilson: Willow, Vince is on the phone. He wants to stop by after he visits his parole officer.
Willow: Cool.
Tim: Parole officer?
Wilson: Well, this boyfriend's better than the last one. At least he's out.

Quote from Tim

Tim: Well, we're a long way from being grandparents.
Jill: I'm glad. Because it gives me more time to play with you.
Tim: Oh, yeah. Big girls are fun.
Jill: Mm-hmm. What's that Bob doing tonight?
Tim: He's all tied up.

Quote from Tim

Tim: OK, girls. I've tightened down the fuse panel. And now, how would you guys like to watch Uncle Tim and your dad wire the car from scratch?
[Gracie and Claire grunt]

Quote from Tim

[outtake:]
Tim: We should also ask this guy, though. I am Buzz Lightyear. No, I am Buzz Lightyear. No, I am Buzz Lightyear. No, I come in peace.
Buzz Lightyear: [toy] I come in peace.
Tim: No, I come in peace.
