‘The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break’

Ross is upset when Rachel is busy working on their one-year-anniversary, so he decides to take the party to her place of work. Meanwhile, Chandler and Joey fantasize about a girl at the copy place, and Phoebe dates a diplomat who doesn't speak English.

Rachel: I cannot keep having this same fight over and over again, Ross. No, you're making this too hard.
Ross: I'm making this too hard? What do you want me to do?
Rachel: I don't know. I don't know. Look, ugh, maybe we should just take a break.
Ross: Okay, okay, fine. You're right. Let's, uh, let's take a break. Let's cool off, okay? Let's get some frozen yogurt or something.
Rachel: No. A break from us.

Chandler: Hey, you know what? Maybe we should get going. I mean, what time did Chloe say to get there?
Joey: Uh, 10:30.
Chandler: And what time is it now?
Joey: Four-thirty.
Quote from Phoebe
Translator: He says that walking with you makes this strange city feel like home.
Phoebe: Oh. Me, too. Although this city is my home, so that's dumb, what I said. Don't tell him I said that. Um, just, you make something up.
Quote from Monica
Ross: What, is, uh, Rach in her room?
Monica: Oh, no, she's still at work, but she told me to tell you to call her.
Ross: Oh, what? Is she going to cancel on me again? How can she do this? Doesn't she know it's our anniversary?
Monica: All right, uh, Ross. This is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. "Call Rachel."

Joey: Hey, remember when she brought up that thing about, you know, the three of us?
Chandler: Yes. Vividly.

Rachel: Excuse me, I'm sorry. I'm going to have to call you back. I've got Shemp in my office.

Monica: Oh, and I can also speak a little French. Voulez vous couchez avec moi, ce soir? Why? What did I say?
Translator: Well, you just asked if I wanted to go to bed with you tonight.
Monica: Oh, my God. No wonder I get such great service at Cafe Maurice.
Quote from Phoebe
Phoebe: Hi. Um, could you please tell Sergei that, um, I was fascinated by what Boutros Boutros-Ghali said in the New York Times?
Translator: [CLEARS THROAT] [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE]
Phoebe: You didn't say, "Boutros Boutros-Ghali."
Translator: Boutros Boutros-Ghali. He says he was, too.
Phoebe: Interesting.

Chandler: Hey, no way. Come on, this is you guys. Call her and work it out.
Ross: Come on. We just had this huge fight. Don't I have to wait a while?
Chandler: Hey, this isn't like swimming after you eat. Pick up your phone.

Phoebe: Oh, yeah, sure. I just hope you don't accidentally suck it up through your nose and choke on it.
