Daphne: I know he's trying to ease back into things, but it's been weeks since the doctor said he was okay.
Gertrude: Well, isn't it obvious? The poor thing's probably not feeling very attractive. I mean, he's all skinny and pale, and now he has that scar, too.

Gertrude: So here you all are. What is the point of bringing the party down to the Winnebago when there's a perfectly nice room right here?
Daphne: You're not moving the party in here.
Gertrude: Oh, Daphne, don't get your blood pressure up. You've got your baby to think of. Here, have a drink and relax.

Daphne: Mum, this is...
Gertrude: Oh, I know who he is, love. [To Frasier] I want to thank you, Donny, for rescuing my daughter from that horrible Dr. Crane.
Frasier: Well, actually...
Gertrude: Every time I call her, I'm not on the phone five minutes, before that tyrant is ordering her to hang up. [To bartender] Cup of tea, please. Thought my daughter might get me one, but she didn't. Oh, God, this seat's worse than that Winnebago. Though not half as uncomfortable as that sardine-tin of a room you arranged for me. [Frasier delivers a cup of tea] Oh, God, can't bear the smell of that, take it away. Reminds me of the salmon they served on that aeroplane. Oh, if it doesn't have me hurling me guts out, it'll be by God's own intervention. Now, give your new mom a kiss, Donny.
Daphne: Actually, Mum, this isn't Donny.

Gertrude: Well, I'm gonna see if your father's stomach is feeling any better. He keeps saying it's tension. What he's got to be tense about, I'll never know.
Daphne: I was worried she'd be in one of her dark moods.

Daphne: Mum, you remember Niles?
Gertrude: Of course. You know, I was quite cross with you when you stole my daughter away from that rich lawyer, but from the looks of this place, you do all right.

Niles: Hello, Mrs. Moon. Would you care for a bite to eat?
Gertrude: Oh, that would be lovely if I thought I could keep anything down. How could your father do this to me? You sleep down the hall from someone for forty years, you think you know them.

Daphne: Obviously, this is a very upsetting time for all of us. But, remember, tomorrow is another day.
Gertrude: You're right, dear. And the sooner you get home to bed, the sooner it'll be here.
Daphne: But it's only 9:30.
Gertrude: And with every tick of the clock, your womanly resistance weakens, and before you know it he'll be on top of you like one of those bloody badgers at the zoo.

Gertrude: What a wonderful sunset. I bet you ordered it just for me, didn't you, Marty?
Martin: Actually, the sun goes down almost every night.
Gertrude: Oh, you.

Niles: Did you make a wish, sweetheart?
Gertrude: Of course she did. She wished her father still loved his children enough to call his only daughter on her birthday. Or his wife. Oh, but that's a man for you. Once he's planted his seed and you've borne his spawn, he moves on to spread his filth elsewhere.
Frasier: Sounds like a toast to me.

Roz: Yes, Roger loved black lace. But he didn't get to see me in it... Black lace, I mean. I bought this one for you. New.
Daphne: Thank you, Roz.
Gertrude: Some man break your heart, did he?
Roz: Oh, yeah, but I'll be OK.
Gertrude: Sure you will. Until you realize he was the love of your life and he's gone for good. Then not a night will pass when you don't beg the good Lord to take you in your sleep.
Niles: We all have those thoughts.
