Debra: Ray, just apologize to Amy.
Amy: No, it's okay. We already talked about it. And now it just seems like everybody's using it as an excuse to attack him.
Ray: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. These jackals, they pounce as soon as they smell blood. They love it when I'm miserable. For all I know, you guys have been sending her in every day on purpose just to annoy me. [all gasp]
[Amy rushes off into the kitchen]
Debra: Oh, Amy.
Frank: Even I know you gotta go in there.

Ray: Listen, I didn't mean what I said in there, really. I was just- You know, I'm mad at those guys, and I'm sorry.
Amy: It's okay. I'm fine.
Ray: Listen, you definitely have a right to be mad at me.
Amy: Oh, I do? I do? Well, thank you very much, Ray.
Ray: You're welcome.
Amy: Let me tell you something, mister: You are a frustrating person! All this time, I've been trying to talk to you, and it's like I'm banging my head against the wall. I keep thinking, "What's wrong with me? Why can't I get through to him?" And now I realize that maybe it's not my fault. Maybe it's just that you're boring. [Ray gasps] You know, Debra says you're like this because you don't want to talk. But I think maybe it's because you've got nothing to say.
Ray: I do too have stuff to say.
Amy: Oh, yeah? Go ahead.
Ray: What do you mean?
Amy: Come on, talk. Come on, talk. Right now. And I want something more than hot dogs and football kicking. [Ray stammers] Oh, interesting conversation. What else do you have to say, Mr. Fascinating?
Ray: This is a lot of pressure!
Amy: That's what I thought. [sees Ray] I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just lashing out. Oh, I stink at this. I was just trying to hurt your feelings.
Ray: Good job.

Amy: Look, Ray I know I try too hard, talking about emotions and stuff. It's just that I wanna be close to everyone in this family.
Ray: Why?
Amy: Because I love you guys. But I mean, for gosh sakes, I know Frank better than I know you. All his sights and sounds and smells. At least I know he's comfortable with me. I feel closer to him now.
Ray: Yeah, don't get too close. We lost a canary once.

Robert: Amy, is everything okay?
Amy: Yeah, everything's fine, Robert.
Ray: Amy and I, we were just talking.
Amy: Yeah, we were.
Robert: Uh-huh. Oh, great. Well, that's very nice.
Ray: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Robert: Oh, please, by all means. Don't let me interrupt. [Ray and Amy are silent] Why aren't you talking? What were you talking about?
Ray: Nothing. Shut up.
Robert: What were you talking about, Amy?
Amy: Fondue Date Night.
Robert: Was this about me? What did you tell him? You told him stuff about me. What did you say?
Amy: Nothing, Robert.
Robert: He got stuff out of you. I know him.

Amy: This commercial's funny. Ray, watch. Watch what the cat does.
Ray: Ah, he high-fives the dog that's funny. Those two don't usually get along.
Robert: Why don't you just sleep with him already?! [exits]
Debra: I've been sitting here all night too, you know. [exits]
Ray: Oh, look, this one's got a monkey in it.
