Quote from Ray

Debra: Hey, Ray, you know you might have a relative still living in Italy?
Ray: [flatly] Yeah? Great.
Debra: Hey, you know what? You might be able to use the paper's research facilities to find her. [off Ray's bored look] Come on, she's family.
Ray: [looks at Frank] Wait a minute. Why would we want to locate more of these people?

Quote from Robert

Debra: Come on. You know a little Italian, don't you?
Ray: Hardly any.
Marie: No, Frank and I only spoke Italian when we were arguing so that the boys wouldn't understand.
Robert: We're almost fluent.

Quote from Frank

Frank: Turn it. Would you turn it?
Ray: No, get out of here.
Frank: Put the other game on.
Ray: Go to your house.
Frank: You don't flip around enough. You don't deserve satellite TV.
Ray: Dad, I'm covering the game for work.
Frank: Oh, jeezalou, you can read about it in the paper.
Ray: You know yet that I'm a sports writer? I am the paper.

Quote from Frank

Ally: Grandpa, will you help me with my homework?
Frank: Nope.
Debra: Frank.
Frank: How else is she gonna learn? Nobody handed me any answers.
Debra: Clearly.

Quote from Frank

Marie: What are you doing? Can't you feel this? It's too hot.
Frank: That's your damn change of life.
Marie: I went through that 10 years ago.
Frank: Then how about a change of personality?

Quote from Ray

Debra: So technically we're not related, but she can still stay.
Marie: Her real family wants to see her.
Ray: I finally had a favorite relative. There's not even a runner-up.

Quote from Frank

Debra: Listen, she's doing a family tree for school. She has to interview a relative.
Frank: Your favorite relative?
Ally: No, the oldest.
Frank: Well, listen, I'm not the oldest person in the family. What about Uncle Mel?
Ally: He smells.
Frank: Hey, Debra, what about your mother? She's no spring chicken. [Ally laughs]
Debra: We've already done my side of the family tree and Ray doesn't seem to know anything about yours.
Don't you have, like, some relatives living in Italy or something?
Frank: Yeah, there might be somebody left. Most of them came over in a sardine boat but my father had a sister who stayed behind in Sicily. Aunt Sarina. Zia Sarina.
Debra: Oh, is she still alive?
Frank: Alive, dead, who knows?
Debra: It's nice you're so close.

Quote from Marie

Marie: Hi, Debra.
Debra: Hi, Marie.
Marie: My, it's hot in here. Are you baking? What am I saying?

Quote from Robert

Marie: This is what happens when Frank fixes things. You remember the chimney, Robbie?
Robert: Yeah. I told him I was too big.

Quote from Ray

Ray: Who is this?
Debra: It's Zia Sarina.
Ray: Who?
Debra: Your aunt from Italy.
Ray: What?
Debra: Yeah.
Ray: Why?
Debra: You kind of invited her.
Ray: When?
Debra: In the letter. You said, "If you're ever in America, come visit us."
Ray: So she hops on a plane. Who does that?
Marie: A person who cares about family.

Quote from Robert

Robert: Did you know we had an ancestor who was a count? She said I look just like him. That's right.

Quote from Frank

Ray: Wait, where is she staying?
Debra: Here.
Ray: Here?
Debra: Well, she's not going to be in the way. I put up a cot in your office for her.
Ray: In my office? Dad, why can't she stay at your house, huh? She's your father's sister.
Frank: We got only the one extra bedroom. There's already a relative in it. Unless you want to trade.

Quote from Debra

Debra: Did you see that? She said something and they just got up and left. What did she say?
Ray: I don't know. How long is she staying?
Debra: As long as she can do that.

Quote from Debra

Debra: What did she say? What did she say? Your family's involved in the Mafia? I knew it.

Quote from Frank

Ray: You know what else we found out? Zia Sarina had twin brothers.
Debra: Ah, so twins run in the family.
Ray: I guess so. Dad, why didn't you ever tell us your father had twin brothers?
Frank: He didn't.
Ray: Luigi and Enzo were twins.
Frank: Who are Luigi and Enzo?
Ray: Your uncles. You don't even know your own family.
Frank: I know this is my father Alberto. And his brothers Mario and Ciccio and Federico and baby Sarina. No twins.
Zia Sarina: E chi e questa gente?
Frank: "Who are these people?" This is you. This is your family. This is you!
Zia Sarina: No, no, no. Questo non sono io.
Frank: "This is not me."
Marie: Frank, you got the wrong picture.
Frank: This is my family!
Robert: Well, it's not her family. [all look around]
Debra: Oh, my God.
Zia Sarina: Holy crap.
