Two unlikely customers to come Cheers: an 85-year-old World War I veteran waiting for the rest of his brigade, and a teetotaler who is about to join a monastery. Meanwhile, Diane is jotting down witty observations she's overheard in the bar, infuriating Sam who doesn't get a mention.
Quote from Sam
Sam: Wait, Buzz. Wait a minute. If you all want is some buddies to get together with, we're here.
All: Yeah.
Norm: We're not old coots like you, but we feel like we know ya.
Diane: Intimately!
Coach: Look, Buzz, maybe we could have a reunion every ten years.
Carla: Why ten? What's wrong with every year?
Buzz Crowder: How's about every week? [sings] Mademoiselle from armentieres [all join in] parlez vous mademoiselle from armentieres parlez vous la la la la la la la hinky dinky parlez vous
Buzz Crowder: Every ten years will be fine. Come on, Pinky, I'll beat ya at darts!
Norm: Oh, yeah? We'll see about that. Come on, everybody.
Quote from Sam
Buzz Crowder: You know, every reunion we've had has thinned out a little more. I guess this is the last one. I guess I'm the last one.
Sam: Hey, come on, maybe they just forgot. I mean, people tend to get busy and make other commitments.
All: Yeah.
Sam: Maybe their lives aren't going well, they just don't wanna come down here and see how great you're doing.
Norm: Maybe they never liked you.
Buzz Crowder: Those guys would never just forget. No. No, not after the things we went through together. No, sir. [sobs] I'm gonna miss these reunions.
