‘Li'l Sister Don't Cha’

Season 2, Episode 2 -  Aired October 13, 1983

With Carla out on maternity leave, her innocent younger sister, Annette, fills in at the bar. Cliff falls head over heels for her, but it turns out she's not as innocent as she seems.

Quote from Norm

Norm: Remember when we were passing through Concord and we took a squirt on that guy's lawn?
Cliff: Oh, yeah, we killed his Jack in a Pulpit. [both laugh] So what did you ask me back here for, Norm? It wasn't to talk over the good times.
Norm: Well, not just that. More like about... Annette.
Cliff: Oh, Norm. Look, look, when Annette and me are married, it won't change us.
Norm: No. Cliff, Annette's not as innocent as you think she is.
Cliff: What's that supposed to mean, Norm?
Norm: I mean, since she's been working here, she has been around... And around.
Cliff: What are you saying this for, Norm? Because you're jealous or something? Because Annette and I are starting a new life together and all the magic's gone out of your relationship?
Norm: More people have enjoyed Annette's magic than Doug Henning's.
Cliff: [grabs Norm] Normie, I'll give you one second to take that back. [silence] OK, I'll give you three.

Quote from Cliff

Norm: So, what, you're gonna hate me now?
Cliff: No.
Norm: Hate her?
Cliff: No.
Norm: Hate yourself?
Cliff: Yeah.
Norm: My choice too, yeah.
Cliff: Ah, I guess I should have known. She said she invented all those things it takes years to learn. Oh, I guess I ought to thank you, huh, Norm.
Norm: Oh, no.
Cliff: It couldn't have been easy for you... I just hope I do the same for you one day.
Norm: Thanks.
