After Carla learns that Eddie has died in a freak zamboni accident, she's in for another surprise at the funeral service.

Gloria LeBec: Well, congratulations... Mrs. LeBec. I guess this is yours.
Carla: Thanks.
Gloria LeBec: Sure thing. Hope the kid on the left still doesn't have that runny nose.
Carla: Nah. He only does that for pictures.
Gloria LeBec: Mine, too.
Carla: Hey, maybe it's hereditary, 'cause Eddie's nose was always running.
Gloria LeBec: Wasn't it, though?

Norm: Carla, that was such a sweet thing you did.
Carla: Yeah, well, I couldn't let her sit on a bus on the day of our husband's funeral.
Norm: No. I mean getting rid of Cliff a few hours early.
Quote from Carla
Rebecca: Carla, it just dawned on me. You don't have to work late tonight.
Carla: Yeah, I know, but now that I know that Eddie loved me best, I just feel like I should be alone for a while and grieve for him in my own way. Pool room's empty, right?
Rebecca: Yeah.
Carla: [o.s.] [sings] O Canada... 6-ball, corner pocket. Our home and native land [shooting pool] [ball drops in pocket]
