Incoming Message from the Big Giant Head Page 2 of 3
As part of the Solomons' mission on Earth, Harry had a chip in his brain to communicate with their leader, the Big Giant Head. Harry's voice would tremble before he broadcast a message, which he himself would not hear, from the home planet. The transmissions would end with a sneeze, leaving Harry confused - well, even more than usual - about the contents of the message he delivered.

Harry: Well, I think I saw one of them... [voice quavers] right over there.
Dick: Oh, my god, it's Harry. His cranial microreceiver, it's activated.
Harry: Transmission incoming from the Big Giant Head. Thank you for calling the Big Giant Head. He cares about you. Your status report was received. Please wait for comments.
Dick: Oh, no, no, no.
Sally: Please, please, no comments.
Harry: There are no comments. Resume normal functions in three, two, one. [sneezes]

Dick: Status report? To the Big Giant Head? Why should we have to answer to that pencil-pushing desk jockey anyway? Frankly, I don't care what he thinks. What did it say about me?
Harry: Resume normal functions in three, two, one. [belches] What did I miss?

Tommy: Yeah, all this romance talk makes me want to call my girlfriend. [picks up Harry's arm] Hey, Harry, can you give me a dial tone? [laughs]
Harry: Well, aren't we witty. Let me ask you this. Has the Big Giant Head ever called us?
Dick: Not yet.
Tommy: Well, how will we know when he does?
Dick: Well, when the Big Giant Head calls, Harry will suddenly go blank and stare off into space.
Tommy: Like I said, how will we know when he does?

Dick: Well, because sometimes our supreme leader, the Big Giant Head, well, he needs to communicate with us, and we picked you. You, Harry. Without you, we can't maintain contact with the home office. There now, don't you see how important you are?
Harry: Well, does Tommy know about this?
Dick: Yes.
Harry: Does Sally know about this?
Dick: Yes.

Harry: No. Only the High Commander has that authority.
Sally: Dick is out of commission. As second in command, I order you to call him.
Harry: Okay, fine, but I'm not broadcasting in stereo. A man's got to have his limit... You have reached the transmitting signal for the Big Giant Head. All Big Giant circuits are busy right now. Please stay on the line. [hums "The Girl from Ipanema"]

Harry: I'm sorry, Randy. It's just that I'm not used to- [voice quavers] Incoming message from the Big Giant Head.
Randy: Whoa, whoa, whoa, you goin' Hulk on me?!
Harry: Due to your High Commander's failure to submit your report in a timely manner, your interplanetary mission is now subject to audit.
Randy: What the hell?
Harry: Remember, your human bodies are property of the Big Giant Head and can be revoked at any time.
Randy: Hot diggity damn! This ain't no normal runt. I got me a bona fide freak! There could be money in this! Oh, yeah!

Evil Dick: Turn that rubbish off. From now on, we watch only golf.
Harry: But I was going to watch [voice quavers] The Jerry Springer Show. Transmission incoming from the Big Giant Head. Warning, warning! Danger, danger! Due to a clerical error, your High Commander may have been accidentally replaced by a disgruntled former employee of the Big Giant Head. He should be considered armed and extremely unpleasant. And remember, when you're thinking of giant heads, think of the Big Giant Head. Resume normal functions in three, two, one. [dances] All right, what was it?
Evil Dick: Wrong number.
Harry: Oh. [both laugh]
Evil Dick: Now shut up and get me that turkey baster!
Harry: [to himself] Why don't you make me get the turkey baster?

Tommy: Bite me.
Harry: All right, who's it? Okay, fine. You know, you try to help... [voice quavers] but this is the thanks you get! Transmission incoming from the Big Giant Head.
Sally: What, again?
Harry: Thank you for your status report. I judge your mission to be a complete failure. Replacements arrive in 24 hours. Resume normal functions in three, two, one. [snorts] What did I miss?
Sally: They're aborting the mission.
Tommy: Replacements arrive tomorrow.
Sally: They're sending us home. [all groan]

But you haven't seen me call the Big Giant Head. Let's call him, shall we? [disappointed murmuring] No, it'll be great. I'm just gonna make a little phone call- [voice quavers] Transmission line's open for the Big Giant Head. [crowd groans]
Garvin: Wh- Why is he changing the act? That act was gold!
Harry: Your status report has been received. [sneezes] [crowd boos]
