Dick learns about charity when he and Mary attend a charity auction. Meanwhile, Don struggles to sleep with Sally's snoring, and Harry and Tommy must rewrite the mission statement.

Father Matthew: Allow me to be perfectly frank. I know you are not a wealthy man.
Dick: No, I- I was going to say that-
Father Matthew: And I know it wasn't easy raising a family of four on a professor's modest salary.
Dick: Yeah, that's exactly what I-
Father Matthew: Which is why your generosity means so much to us.
Dick: Oh, well... but-
Father Matthew: No, no, please. Let me finish. Given your circumstances, your gift means so much to us. Sure, Martin Abend gave us $50,000, but he owns the ball bearing plant. Relative to him, your gift was far more generous.
Dick: You mean, I'm better than the rich guy?
Father Matthew: Well, I wouldn't want to say that-
Dick: No, no, no, go on, say it. I'm not gonna tell him.
Father Matthew: You are a great man.
